Enjoy pleasant breezes by joining the adventurous kiteboarders in the Indian Ocean. If you’re a novice, take lessons at the watersports school.

Paje is a scenic village surrounded by a white-sand beach and warm, blue-green water. The area is known for excellent kiteboarding. The beach is idyllic and tranquil, with few distractions aside from occasional luxury resorts. Join watersports enthusiasts and take a kite out on the sapphire water for a thrilling experience.

Take advantage of the consistent wind by learning to kiteboard. Rent equipment and get lessons from the local school. Note that the rains are generally too strong for the practice in April and May.

Beachcomb for aquatic objects along the white, crunchy sand of Paje Beach. Enhance your tan in the year-round hot weather. You can often spot humpback whales off the coast from June to September.

Capture photos of these majestic creatures and go snorkeling for a glimpse of the colorful aquatic life. Notice the large difference between the appearance of the beach at low and high tides. When the sea is out, local women in sarongs collect seaweed. Join a game of soccer with Zanzibar children in the evening before watching the sunset.

Purchase snacks and drinks from vendors who occasionally patrol the beach. Nearby restaurants offer seafood meals with a view of the Indian Ocean. Stay at one of the many hostels and resorts near the beach. In the village stroll along the quaint alleys. Browse the souvenirs for sale in the small shops. Among the highlights are traditional bright Zanzibar paintings and coconut products.

Find the town on the eastern coast of Unguja, which is the main island in the Zanzibar archipelago. Fly to the Zanzibar international airport beside Zanzibar City and drive east for about 30 miles (50 kilometers) to get here in an hour. You can also take a ferry to the island from the Tanzania mainland city of Dar es Salaam.

Paje is a serene haven for kite enthusiasts and sunbathers.

"Super lækker villa, det var nemt at tjekke ind/ud. Vaskemaskinen virkede dog ikke, så personalet hentede vores vasketøj hver dag hvis vi havde sat det klar, vaskede det og hængte det til tørre for os i villaen. Daglig rengøring af både villa og pool.
