Wow!! Totally blown away by The Velvet Rope. We got in late Friday night and David (owner/designer) was there to greet us. He gave us a quick tour and gave us other info. After we checked in, we walked over to the bar on the property-woah! This place is decorated to the nine and the lounge singer/band were great. It was awesome to have a bar on the property. We were upgraded to the Playboy room, as there was a last minute cancellation. Each room is themed and the amount of detail that went into each of them-impressive to say the least. All the other guests we interacted with were friendly and kind. A few nice touches-pool towels, bottled water, free cabanas, breakfast snacks and coffee each morning. The decor and vibe were outstanding. We also loved that you can walk into town really quickly. We will be back.

What an amazing property! I stayed in the presidential suite and the decor and vibe was outstanding! Love the “victrola” in the room. I haven’t put a needle on a record. In 40 years! The pool area is beautiful and immaculately kept. Stay here!

Wonderful property with an incredible aesthetic. Every room and space is impeccably decorated. The owner David and his partner Kevin are fantastic hosts. They make you feel like a guest staying in their eclectic home. Very quiet and relaxing property, walkable to some restaurants and easy Uber to the busier downtown area.

This revamped motel is SO beautiful, unique, and quiet. Every corner of the property was carefully designed and the staff is super friendly and and accommodating. I would LOVE to come back.

amazing little hotel, everything you need. pool, hottub, good mattresses, bikes, drinks, music, continental breakfast, floaties in the pool, fire pits, cabanas, good bathrooms with rain shower heads, all the little touches were perfect. sunscreen and turkish towels at the pool won me over again, after I fell in love the first time.

One of the best hotels in Palm Springs! The location is perfect in my opinion as well. David has designed this hotel in an Old Hollywood style, where you feel transported into the lives of those who lived with lavish splendor in the past and you are living the luxury in the present. Everything is curated with intention and thoughtfulness. The best part is that we felt completely relaxed and at ease! David, Jeffrey and Kevin all come together to make sure your needs are met and you are having a beautiful experience. As other's have mentioned each room has it's unique character and style, you can't go wrong. The coziness of the hotel set up does not mean it's noisy, to the contrary, our rooms were solid and quiet. We stayed in the Liberace room and the bed was divine and it's lovely having a small little kitchenette as well (most rooms appeared to have this too). David hired Megan and Jason to sing in Bar Valerie and they were truly talented and a delightful addition. Kevin was rocking the cocktails at the bar, in perfect service and style. Enjoy every moment, it goes too fast!

This is a very unique art deco property with plenty of character. Each room is different and the common area is as well. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Pool area very comfortable & stylish. I recommend giving it a try!

OMG the Velvet Rope is Fabulous. Hollywood glam meets old time Palm Springs. So fun and the rooms are beautiful and smell amazing. It’s like we walked into an alternate universe of days gone by. Thank you for making our last night in the desert memorable!

What a find! New themed small mid century resort tastefully decorated with designer accents and themed rooms. The staff was excellent! Heated pool, fire pts, jacuzzi and luxe accommodations make this a go to mid century gem!

My daughter and I had an amazing time staying at Palm Springs newest addition The Velvet Rope, David the owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay , the rooms are Hollywood themed and are incredible! The attention to detail is amazing , we will definitely be back!

David and Kevin made our trip fantastic! The property is absolutely incredible. The attention to detail that David has put into all the rooms make this place an amazing unique place to stay. Amazing time!! The velvet rope is awesome. Each room is uniquely decorated and it just makes it even a better time. Everyone that works there is so nice and accommodating. As soon as you enter the gate, you just fill right now like you’re in another world. I was sad that we had plans and had to leave because I’m definitely going back to just stay there for an entire weekend.

You have to go and see for yourself. The rooms are so thoughtfully done. Such a super fun, cute place with great staff! Location is prime with walking to everything. Can’t wait to book my next trip back.

Fantastic design and very roomy
Had a wonderful stay the The Velvet Rope. Our room (Liberace) was fantastic, down to the smallest detail. We were able to view a number of the other rooms and the themes are really fun. Great pool, hot tub and common space around the pool. The onsite bar is beautiful, it was so nice to have excellent entertainment without going out. Continental breakfast was also a bonus! David is a terrific host (and designer) and accommodated a last minute date change we had. Will 100% stay again when in Palm Springs.

We really enjoyed our stay in Palm Springs. Kevin (the manager), David (the owner), and Kevin (the bartender) all went out of their way to make sure they exceeded our needs and expectations. Upon arrival they made sure to get us situated in our accommodations which were great. The Velvet Rope is a beautiful and nicely decorated property. From the pool area, to the bar we definitely enjoyed our time there. The hotel lives up to its lavish and glamorous theme of old Hollywood. We hope to spend more time here in the future!
