Palomar Vista Lodge is set on over 8 acres on the top of Palomar Mountain, with views to the skyline in San Diego on a clear day. Beautifully updated and decorated, there are five bedrooms and five bathrooms, plus a recreation room with pool table / ping-pong / poker table / bar / and a 2nd kitchen to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. In addition there is a beautiful outside deck of 1,500 sq. feet, a fire pit, Jacuzzi and outdoor barbecue, plus gorgeous lawns, butterfly gardens, and hiking trails and private relaxation spots right on the property that feature gorgeous views, and peaceful tranquility. Perfect for large families, large groups, or multiple families as the home provides large bedrooms with lots of privacy. Updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, over 3,600 sq. ft of interior living space, Palomar Vista Lodge will come to be your luxurious mountain getaway with friends and family for years to come. We are only 2 miles from the entrance of Palomar Mountain State Park, and 3 miles from the Palomar Observatory. In addition, we have 5 casinos within 20 miles if you want to enjoy some great entertainment, a great value meal, and take your chances at the tables or slot machines. Serving San Diego, Orange, and Riverside Counties, we are about an hour to an hour and a half from all points in Southern California, but you will feel like you are in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Beautiful, peaceful location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The grounds are beautiful, with amazing views. The location is very private. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything that we needed. Teens enjoyed the spa, the ping pong table, and frisbee golf. The toaster oven should be replaced as you can’t read the controls because it is so old. We would love to come back.

Perfect for a family stay

This home was perfect for our annual family trip. The kids loved playing outside and exploring the property. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was very comfortable. The views are incredible! We will definitely stay here again.

Favorite House

We have been doing an annual NYE trip for 11 years and this is our 3rd time here! It’s a beautiful property and the house has everything we need. In the past there has been snow so we took advantage of some of the hills. This year there wasn’t snow but that meant we could enjoy outside more and play yard games. We plan to stay here again!

Great place for a family gathering

We got our family together for our annual stay. This is, by far, the best place we found to stay in several years. There’s lots of room, very clean, very well equipped. And we had quite a bit of snow left over from the week before so the kids had a lot of fun sledding. We never left the property during the four days we were there.

Amazing Home

This home was perfect for our group. We loved the property and just spending time out on the deck. Michael was an incredibly gracious host and made things so smooth and easy. I would come back to this place without hesitation!

Great laid back visit

Very poor cell phone reception. Stunning views, large comfortable deck with a great fire pit and hot tub. Michael, our host was very accommodating and helpful.

Winter Holiday Vacation

This property is amazing! Our group had 6 adults and 7 children, and everyone had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious with a lot of room to spread out. The backyard is huge. We were able to go sledding on the property which was a huge bonus. We definitely hope to visit again.

Spectacular views and solitude

Our stay at this property was fantastic and relaxing. The property is large enough to take strolls around the ponds and running streams. Michael was very communicative from the moment we first got in touch and took the time to really answer any questions that we had. The one issue we had was that the jacuzzi was not working upon our arrival however Michael made it a point to make it right by us and I really appreciated that. Will definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great host, Great location, Great place!

We booked Michael's property for a weekend getaway with family & friends for president's day weekend. Right from the start Michael made our trip comfortable and easy with his great communication and hospitality. On the day of check-in, he made sure the driveway was well plowed for our group to arrive with no issues! He is very passionate about the property and Palomar Mountain and gave us many great tips on how to enjoy the lodge as well as the beautiful scenery around us. The property was huge and had many great amenities for my group to enjoy. From playing games in the game room, sledding down in the snow, to enjoying the sunrise by the lake, there were so many things to enjoy during our visit. The property was clean and cozy and we only hope Michael allows us to visit again in the future!

Life changing

I had the most profound experience at Michael's humble home. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the love he and the land had been cultivating together. There's real magic happening at this place and it pulled at the heart cords of everyone in my party. I personally can say I had a life changing experience that will stick with me until my final days. Michael really goes above and beyond the call of duty with his warm greeting and presence if anything happens to come up. I'm so happy to have had the privilege of experiencing this slice of heaven he's carved out. You will be blown away by all this land has to offer and be glad you chose to stay. Beautiful property, enjoyable stay.

What a lovely house and property. My group enjoyed walking the grounds, using the jacuzzi, and relaxing with our coffee on the deck early in the mornings of our two night stay. Apart from a couple of minor inconveniences, we highly recommend this property and many of the group expresses a desire to rent this property again in the future.

Awesome Friends Getaway

Perfect place to get away with your friends and kids. There was so much to do in the house the boys had a blast. Wonderfully remote with an amazing view and relaxing jacuzzi on the deck. The place had all the kitchen accessories needed to make lovely meals and definitely enough space for all 16 of us. Would definitely return!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway!

We had an amazing time! The home was beautiful and accommodated our large party very well. You can't beat the view! Sitting around the fire pit on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and taking in the scenery and the peace and quiet was such a treat. We enjoyed exploring around the property and even got to play in the snow. The home was so well stocked. Everything was set up so nice and welcoming. Would definitely go back!! Only drawback was that the wifi wasn't great.

Wonderful Mountain Lodge

Wonderful property. Fireplaces are great gathering places, awesome game room downstairs and Kitchen is fully stocked. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Wonderful stay

Michael was excellent and his place/property just as amazing. Got over a foot of snow on Christmas and all had our first white Christmas an hour from home! Sledded down large sections, snowball fights, snow angels and of course a snowman family. The house was perfect for our multi family stay. Fires in multiple rooms, blackjack, ping pong, kids room sleepovers, elaborate meals in the fully stocked kitchen, and good ol fashioned conversation around the kitchen table. Couldn’t endorse this place enough. If Michael would allow us we might make this an annual tradition. :)
