"Skalakot Manor was a gem surrounded by stunning scenery, and the most beautiful Icelandic horses You really feel like you’re staying in someone’s home as a very special guest. The bedding was top-notch and the dining room food was fantastic. It is pricey, but very worth it. And the staff is helpful, warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to stay there next time."

The overall property was good, the bathroom was fine and clean, the general areas were clean, the grass was well maintained, but the showers were not so great. I found the shower area dirty. It was at the very end of the day so maybe I just caught it at a bad time, but that would be my only issue. I would go back."

"This hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life. Restaurant was delicious, apartment was clean, quiet and spacious. The hotel is convenient to waterfalls and Vik. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the south coast."

"Stayed one night in a double room here and In a remote location on a farm and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s minutes away from plane wreck and Seljalandfoss which made for a healthy hike on a summer evening. Everything is self explanatory/ service and more of a hostel feel than guesthouse or hotel which we didn’t mind at all. They say there is no breakfast but they have an excellent coffee machine and cereals for you to start your day. Only complaint was the smell in our tiny bathroom but the room was spacious, very well appointed, and clean."
