Everything was great, the hosts were very friendly every day, they were kind and helpful. The hotel has a great location, you can walk anywhere in Paris and the room has everything you need for your trip.

Great location!! The elevator is extremely small, 4 normal size people can fit but not much room after that. The tub/shower side is extremely high which makes getting in and out of shower challenging if have any mobility issues or elderly.

We stayed in the Hotel Gaillon in the 1980s when we lived in Europe. We also stayed in 2007 when I had a sabbatical. So we thought we would try it again--now in 2025! It was lovely--our reasonably priced room included a great shower and and an outdoor garden/statue. The best thing about it was the staff--we were able to get cabs for a very early trip to the airport--and to practice our French. Simple and homey and lovely breakfastese.

This is a convenient place to stay for walking to many attractions. It is only a few minutes walk from the Louvre. The airport bus stop is minutes away. There are tons of restaurants and shops close by.

Great experience

The hotel was conveniently located and is easily found, within walking distance to Garnier opera, Lafayette Gallery, louvre museum to Place de la Concorde. clean rooms and comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious. The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, in special, Jeph. He takes the time to answer any question I may have and provide me with the easy way to return to the Gare Nord Station, my last day. I highly recommend the hotel.

This hotel is a great location. Walkable to the Louvre, shopping, Opera. Lots of great cafes nearby. Very close to the Metro. Surprisingly quiet too. Our family of 4 stayed in a family room on the top floor and it was a nice size for us. It was clean. Hotel has a lift which is a nice plus.

Convenient. Let's be honest, Paris is not quiet! We only saw 2 homeless people in our 3 night stay, laying outside on the curb. The facilities were very clean and quaint. You will need to use your door key to operate the electricity!

My family and I spent 4 nights here. What we love about this hotel: close to Palais Garnier, Lourve, Palais Royal; close to transportation, many dining options. Hotel staff was friendly, especially the night manager - every night when we returned back to the hotel, we would spent time chatting with him before making our way up to our room. What we dislike: the building next to the hotel was under construction (we stayed at the hotel in April 2024) hence construction noise started from 6-7am to around 6-7pm.

Great value in central Paris near Opera

Hotel Gaillon Opera is in a side-street with many restaurants, bars and bakeries nearby. Gaillon Opera is a great value for money. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly, very helpful and speak english very well. You will also have quite fast Internet. If you're expecting a big room when you select a "standard room" be ready for a bed, a small table, a TV and a quite spacious bathroom. This is a great value in central Paris.

The staff at Hotel Gaillon Opera were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the family size room we stayed in was nice. To note for families looking at this option, the kids’ beds were more like cots than sturdy beds — worked okay for a couple of nights, then kids were uncomfortable. The hotel was generally clean, although the family / attic room did have an ant situation. The hotel staff did address the ants when requested. I would be cautious of booking the room if you plan to have snacks and/or eat any meals in the room.

The hotel was continently located near restaurants, shopping, and main attractions. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful especially Jeff. However, the rooms were not nearly as nice as the pictures. The pillows and towels were flat. The bathtub/shower was slippery without a bath mat causing us to slip and fall. The bathtub was also quite higher than usual making it difficult to balance while entering the bathtub/shower.

Reception is terribly cold and not helping guests at all. Anything your inquire goes no where. Rooms are tiny; Ceiling are low; Bathrooms are terrible and shower water goes everywhere. We had multiple rooms/days and needed to make changes due to scheduling, but was not able to get a penny refund at all. Staff just said will let manager know and nothing happens no matter how many times you inquired. Terrible place, will never go back to this hotel again.

This hotel gets the important stuff right - the location is excellent, an hour from the airport, Disneyland or Verailles, great travel links, but also very quiet so no disturbances. Internet was great, fine for uploading tonnes of photos after a busy day. Staff were fine, property was clean and the area seemed safe. Beds were cosy and the room spacious. We heard nothing from any adjacent rooms or the street so slept well. Breakfast was buffet-style for the most part and totally fine for our needs; cereal, bread products, juices, hot drinks, eggs etc. Breakfast was free for kids but 15 euros per adult per day. So I would say the important stuff was fine and I'd recommend the hotel. My only small reservation is the bathroom, which is accessed via a pocket door that proved impossible to fully close - there was always about a one-inch gap. The bathroom was a little cramped and it was difficult to ever fully dry towels, for instance, as the ventillation wasn't great. The door could easily be replaced so it's curious that this hasn't been done, as I see the bathroom door has been raised elsewhere. But yes, very good indeed overall and great value.
