"Pros: Staff and management were incredible. Very kind, helpful, accommodating! The location was great for beach lovers. The restaurant waitress was beyond busy but she always had a smile. Cons: Poor Value for the costs!!! We arrived early and were told the room was ready (yeah) but then was told it would cost $75 extra! While the facility was recently renovated, the rooms have a VERY strong odor of sewage or mildew. We were moved to a room next to a small pool with deck but the pool was closed each day and we even had to leave the loungers because the staff was training in the pool. The window faced the street and since it’s located close to a fire station, we heard loud sirens all night-as well as cars honking, motorcycles, loud music from the street. If you’re a light sleeper-request a room away from the front. The cost for valet was $60 per night so be prepared! If you’re attending Tortuga, beware! It only makes sense to stay here if you have VIP. The main entrance is about a mile away and you have to walk or pay for a golf cart. The food and drinks were OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. $22 for a coffee and muffin; $70 for two basic bar drinks. You’re better off going a few blocks down to Shorely. The staff get an A +, the value for the cost gets an F although it was Tortuga weekend so I’m sure they just want to make $$. I get it but still feel totally ripped off for what we got. "

"Old and shabby furniture but clean. Breakfast great. Should offer free shuttle to airport as many Embassys do"

"Housekeeping would only come upon request, that was a minor because we stayed for 2 nights and Didn’t get clean towels unless we requested it and the night front desk stadf was rude, when we arrived he didn’t even greet us and let us feel welcome. "

"The staff checking in and out were okay. Room could have been cleaner and updated for sure. Yellow stains on sheet which should have been taken off and thrown away. Not the best place I’ve stayed but not the worst. You could also smell weed when we entered to go to our room. "

"Great location, friendly staff (mostly)…however be prepared to pay arm and leg for everything here.. Example: only get two beach chairs daily even if you have more ppl staying in room that's all you get w paying $50+/day resort fee. Everything is additional charge..$60+\day parking. Beach is full of seaweed and due to rip currents ocean not accessible…would i stay here again?… probably not! Tampa Bay/St Pete offers so much more w/best beaches in all FL. sorry FLL i wasn’t impressed! "
