"Chateau is beautiful and in a very peaceful spot. I would describe it as 'shabby chic' as there are areas where money could be spent. However it is lovely and features such as the sweeping staircase, chandelier's and furniture look gorgeous. Town is only 4 miles away with a range of restaurants. Continental breakfast was great and plentiful. Only met 1 member of staff at breakfast but she was lovely and gave us some of the history of the chateau. Another English couple were staying in Kings Room...

"We had a lovely holiday, chilling, swimming in the pool or lake, watching the spectacular moonrises, listening to the extraordinary marsh frog songs from dusk until dawn, and exploring local forests by foot and pedal. "If you are looking for a magical setting for your wedding, this is the place! Susy and William will answer all of your questions/concerns immediately and their suggestions for caterer/officiant/entertainment were spot on. The grounds are gorgeous with plenty to do, whether you want to relax and walk around the lake or head into town to explore. It was a wonderful week we will never forget. In May, the Chateau can be a little chilly but it adds to the nostalgic feel of this dreamy setting."
