“We stayed while our Black Mountain home was closing. The surroundings - woods, mountains - were perfection. We just needed to relax and the cottage - extremely cozy with a full kitchen, leather furniture we melted in, comfortable beds, updated bathroom - satisfied our wants. I had to work remotely and never experienced an internet issue. Choosing this rustic, away from the hubbub, down the gravel road getaway was perfect for recharging, reminiscing, relaxing and spending time with old friends who don’t NEED bougie to have a good time!The hot tub was so nice after a day of hiking and the beds were extremely comfortable for a night of rest! We visited the pool one day for a refreshing cool down and met some lovely residents! If you want a great burger, we recommend Stacks in Mars……

“The cabin is truly a beautifully preserved historic home from the 1940s and feels like stepping into a summer vacation from days gone by. We loved the views of the mountains and forest around us and even were graced by a mama bear and her cubs. The record player, vhs tapes, and variety of cool things to do around the cabin kept us entertained even when relaxing around indoors. Black Mountain is also a beautiful little town with lots of unique shops and restaurants. We look forward to returning……

“Over all the description of the property was spot on. The cleaning staff needs some pointers. Perhaps they can take some time and clean the coffee pot, empty the lint from the dryer, and cob webs along the floor by the registers. We didnt use the hot tub or the grill, we didnt want to clean them to use them. There was a faint odor of propane near the large tank. Other wise we had a blast.Barnardsville really got demolished by those storms. I had no idea it was that widespread. ”
