"House was exactly as described on internet. The beds were very comfortable. The view of the water was so nice. Kitchen well stocked, and ice maker in fridge was a plus. Did not use kayaks weather was not the best for outdoors. The host was quick to all our needs. Our 93 year old mom loved it.Thank you to the Baker's ."

"My friends and I have been traveling once yearly for over 25 years. This is our last trip as a large group. Numerous times we remarked that this house is the best one yet. It’s lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed how quiet it was, too. You couldn’t hear every noise and word, so we weren’t waking or keeping each other up. And we love having laundry on site for a slightly longer stay."

"I took my kids for a few days of bird watching and found this little gem in Spruce Pine. It was centrally located to the places we wanted to explore. Spruce Pine has a small downtown with restaurants and taverns. It’s close to Burnsville and sits between Asheville and Blowing Rock as well. The house was comfortable and well equipped. "Overall we were very happy. We traveled with a large group and were thrilled to fit us in one place. They had just had a plumbing issue fixed and the lower bathroom still had a slight smell (it was tolerable). It was really hard to find in the dark but quiet and beautiful once you got there. We did have a little mouse visit us but it’s in the woods so….."

The house is well equipped with everything you might possibly need. It is so peaceful and quiet here , a true retreat! Linville falls and caverns are minutes away. "A group of friends and I stayed at this property, it was very spacious for the 10 of us. The outside balcony had a breathtaking view at sunset and sunrise. The location was a bit tough to find, as we got lost using Google Maps but that's the price of booking an exclusive house. I would stay here again and recommend for future guests."

"This home sits well off the road in a beautiful setting including it's own little vineyard and valley. Recently renovated, all is absolutely first class. Plus, it felt so very clean. We chose the location due to it's proximity to Mayland Planitarium and Bare Dark Sky Observatory. We fell in love with the whole area. Beautiful hike to Crabtree Falls - one of my favorite Waterfall hikes of all time! Rewarded ourselves with delicious "swiss" ice cream at the Little Switzerland Inn shops. Very easy...

"After conquering the driveway with our 15 passenger van, we were very pleased with our stay in Montreat! Very peaceful location. Everything we needed was available. The grill is a bit tricky and the kitchen faucet was a bit loose but overall we had a comfortable stay."
