Our cottage/villa includes a screened in front porch area perfect for a relaxing, “Hang Loose” vacation.


The Purple Parrot is a 114 unit Caribbean-style resort with tropical plants & palm trees. Our huge 150,000 gallon outdoor pool is only footsteps from our cottage/villa. Enjoy live music at the Tiki Bar or sample some of the local restaurants for your dining & entertainment.


Johnson Beach State Park is a short (3) minute drive from the resort. Breathtaking sunrises & sunsets, white sand beaches, showers, picnic tables, walking trails & covered pavilions.


Our unit offers one 43" Flat screen TV in the bedroom. One 50” Flat screen TV in the living room. Brand new 6/2022 Beyond Beauty King size mattress in the bedroom. Queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Front loading washer/dryer. Free wifi, extended cable, & our kitchen is fully stocked with dishes & cookware.


PLEASE NOTE: Bring your groceries, toiletries & paper products. Publix Grocery store is located (5) minutes from the resort.


Our unit is lower level & parking is directly in front of our cottage/villa.


The Purple Parrot in Perdido Key is a unique gated tropical resort. The villas surround a 5000 square foot oasis swimming pool with a waterfall and a bridge accessible hot tub. The resort also features an indoor heated pool and hot tub in the indoor pool house. Changing rooms, showers, sauna & work out area.



Tiki Bar is on-site pool-side. Drinks & food are available for purchase.


Purple Parrot has a strict NO pet policy for renters.
NO smoking in any of the condos.
NO renters under the age of 25.



Restaurants, grocery stores, marinas, golf courses are within a mile of the resort. So much to do and see on the key!

Great spot for family

Perfect little getaway spot for the family. We had young ones that wanted to be in the pool so this spot was perfect for that. Easy parking, grill and drinks available right by the pool and not packed with noisy people. Highly recommend

Great Vacation Spot!

This was a great little vacation getaway spot. It is super quiet, the tiki bar on location has amazing stuff, and it is super close to the beach. Sherry and Steve are great hosts and we will gladly stay again.

Beach retreat

We walked on beautiful beaches with white sand. Winter months are very quiet and tho a little more windy and cool, having these huge stretches of ocean all to ourselves, was magnificent. The beach cottage had everything we needed, including a great comfortable bed.

Purple Parradise!

Best Girl Vacay yet!

Purple Parrot

Steve and Sherry have an excellent property. Everything is gated and secured. The on-site pool is a great place to relax there is also a bar with food if you don’t feel like leaving after a long day on the beach. Every single restaurant surrounding the property has exceptional food and drink options. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Perdido Key.

Great Find

I've been vacationing at Perdido Key since the early 90's and have stayed in several places within a mile of this place (from the new oceanfront high-rises to camping on the beach)... but, I think I've found my new favorite. You won't miss the costly oceanfront view with both public beach access and, my favorite, Johnson's Beach so close (and why would you lie on a crowded beach in front of your condo when this awesome sparse beach is so close?). And the POOL! It is so well designed and huge; great for mornings before the beach and after a day at the beach with an attached bar and live music for the evenings. The smaller size of the resort is nice for keeping down any sense of the "crowded" feel. This particular condo unit was spot-on with perfect location within the resort and is very well appointed with some obvious design sense. Thank you, Steve and Sherry for sharing it.

Perdido Paradise

The resort is great and secure. Gated with monitor on duty. Loved the convenience of the awesome pool and access to grill for dinner. Hang Loose provided all of the amenities we needed and provided a restful and relaxing place to stay. Bed was very comfortable, shower was hot, with great water pressure, and A/C was cold. WiFi was a bonus when had to do a little work, and even enjoyed a few movies since there was a DVD player provided. The owners think of everything and take great care of you. The resort is in the perfect spot to access great fresh sea food for great prices, as well as quick easy access to beaches. The beaches are nestled in between Alabama and Pensacola which is perfect. They were not crowded at all and Johnson Beach was even more vacant. Water was clear and refreshing, and the sunsets were incredible. This is the perfect spot to rest and relax with out fast pace and crowded environment. Loved it and highly recommend it!! Thank you Purple Parrot and Hang Loose for your hospitality and excellent service. We will be back!
