Good hotel for a week stay

Posted Jul 17, 2016
Stay at Resident Inn Marriott for a week while I had training. Very comfortable and nice. The room has a full size fridge, stove(hot plate), microwave, and dishwasher. The room was spacious and provided a home style feel. The couch was uncomfortable and I think mainly because it was a pullout. The TV's are kind of small so watching in the "living" area you had a hard time seeing. The AC did go out once which made it very uncomfortable in the room. I called the front desk and they had someone come up almost immediately which was great! Took them about 10 minutes and I was back in business with the AC. The dishwasher was disgusting and would not recommend using it. There was leftover foot and items in the cabinets. All in all it was a great stay and was pleased with the hotel. The bed was comfortable.

Clean, comfortable, convenient & quiet

Posted Jun 26, 2016
We stayed her for a week while our kids attended camp at Villanova -- it was perfect for our needs. Having a mini-kitchen was nicer than greasy junk food all week from kids menus & dinners out. Just be warned, it takes about 45 minutes to boil water for pasta and there is no oven. Best to bring micro-wav-able meals if you are planning to use the kitchen for dinners (or start early). But it was nice to have a table and relax watch TV after a busy day. It was in a young, urban area with lots of restaurants nearby and the hotel had several take out menus and you can get delivery. The hotel was clean and comfortable: we will be staying here again next year. (Oh yeah, we had a room on the backside the trains didn't wake any of us up - we barely heard them when we were awake.)

Pros: Proximity to train and friends, comfortable
Location: Train into the city within a block
Very accommodating staff at the hotel as we arrived quite late

Works as well as R&R. My wife and I stayed, she worked from the hotel room, so the internet was necessary (and it was fast). My work was at UPenn so I took the train. We had rented a car so we got to see the great neighborhoods around Philly. This is a great place and hotel takes care of you.

Enjoyable Stay

Pleasant enough, food in the hotel on the 3 days its available in the evenings its basic, also provide free soft/alcoholic drinks for a limited time as well. Great sized rooms although its a residence inn so you will always get the size along with Fridge/Sink/Sofa(bed)/desk/cooker. Its not modern inside the rooms but it doesnt matter. Good amount of friendly residents and excellent bar maid. Just up the hill there are plenty of places to go for a drink and food, I reccomend Southern Cross and Lucky Dog
