Good value, mosquitos were impressive

My family booked two rooms on the way to our eventual vacation spot. When we arrived we were a little surprised by the mosquitos in the parking lot. Treating this doesn't take much more than a phone call. Small business owners deal with this in Missouri and understand the value in guest comfort. Treating them outside prevents them from trailing inside of the lobby and the rooms as well. The fact that it isn't done is a bad look on ownership. Nothing about the nights sleep was comfortable as a result but it was too late to pack up and leave. The rooms were fine on space, and the bathroom was in good shape and well lit. The rooms should be cleaner, especially the sticky carpet and the bedding. Again this is something that ownership can fix with a little effort. Opening your workout facility earlier than 8 is ideal since a lot of people who workout when they travel do so to start their day. That was disappointing but I understand it may not come into play often. If it weren't for the time of arrival at check in I would have gladly driven trough and avoided our stay. My family was tired and I was in need of rest. With the issues in my review I can't recommend to anyone. However it seems that they are all correctable of the proper steps are taken.

Conveniently off the freeway. Not much in the way of restaurants within walking distance. Owner was friendly and eager to please.

The customer service was bad. They have signs posted that you cant have any visitors. No elevator,so if your on the second floor you have to carry your luggage up two flight of stairs. The breakfast room was very small and not properly stocked. I went to get some coffee @ 6 AM and they were out of a lot of items. The only fruit they had was 3 apples that were still there the next day. They also have signs posted in the room of how much amenities cost in case you want to buy them.

Ok for last minute getaway

The room was ok. The only issue was that the hotel is not very friendly to those living locally. Required credit card for incidentals. Accepting of my debit card but still. Room was nice but as an adjoining room we could hear everything in the next room. Everything.
