"We loved that this property is located right across the street from the waterfront and promenade! There are plenty of restaurants close-by. We did hear music at night from a local bar - until about 1:30AM. An early check-in wasn't available. Lunch service and quality of food is excellent. Carpet in the room was well worn. Cons: Amu rooftop restaurant needs improvement (woefully understaffed, uneven food quality), ugly exterior of hotel, no turndown service, overpriced drinks (12 euro bottle of Corona, really?) Conclusion: not a 5 star hotel, but recommended as a reasonably priced and clean place to stay in Monte Carlo."

"Hotel Le Negresco is without a doubt the most beautiful hotel in Nice. We stayed for 4 nights and the location, service and style is 5 stars. I have one complaint regarding the hotel bathroom. Our room had a very large bathroom with a beautiful claw foot tub - but no shower. The tub had a hand held nozzle with no place to rest it while showering (if you put it on the cradle water will spray onto the floor) and the shower curtain only closed 75%. For the cost of this hotel I expect much much...

"Loved the location across from the cathedral. Very walkable, with the tram stations within 5 minutes and the train station in 8 minutes. Grocery store and mall across the street. Staff were the best. Lots of amenities available. Breakfast was at the cafe below, so coffee and pastry tray at tables beneath the cathedral, watching people go by. Great gelato place on the same block. There is a tiny two-person elevator for those who can’t do stairs. "
