“It's a hostel not a hotel, and it's the worst hospitality experience I've ever had. The owner does not respect the guests.”

“Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. ”

“Do not sleep on Bohemia experience! Guillermo (concierge/reception) was a wealth of knowledge and was so quick to respond to any question or recommendation we asked for. The owner, Shaq, was incredibly kind and provided everything we needed. Your day starts with a perfect Costa Rican breakfast overlooking the ocean and the rest of the day is your oyster. My husband and I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and will be back!”

“We had a really good stay at El Sano Banano overall. The highlight was definitely the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Miguel at the restaurant, who was our favorite server. He went above and beyond and made our experience even better. “This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Montezuma. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly. We even got an upgrade from a regular room to a balcony and they let us check in a few hours early because the room was ready. Hotel was clean and quiet. We saw a ton of wildlife right outside of our room… monkeys, iguanas, squirrels and a ton of unique birds. The location was perfect allowing you to walk to the beach and the main street where all of the stores and……

“Outstanding stay and this small resort on the edge of the world. The drive from Liberia airport was a long one, but totally worth it to drive into the little village of Montezuma and into the jungle paradise of Ylang Ylang. Our room was right on the ocean. Going to sleep with the crash of the ocean waves outside our door. Beaches - mostly empty save the hermit crabs and occasional local dog. Staff - outstanding. Bed - comfortable.
