“We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend! We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade on our room and it was beautifully decorated. They were friendly at check in and took us to our room, leaving us some shortbread biscuits. Breakfast in the Grain store was amazing, we also had dinner there.”

“The room was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and varied. The only drawback for us was the lack of a cooked breakfast. I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog”

“The room was clean but a bit dated and the shower cubicle was much to small, the staff were brilliant and the food was the best we have had in a hotel and the portions were very big. Aylsham itself is a lovely village.”

“My room was on the ground floor right next to the entrance and a lounge which I think was for the staff. It was very noisy! The tv was on and someone was talking loudly on their phone - I needed an early night as I wasn’t feeling well. That didn’t happen. As a woman travelling alone I was not comfortable with a ground floor room close to the entrance - I would have liked to open the window, but did not feel secure enough. “Lovely old building and themed rooms. We were allocated the China room as we told the hotel ahead of time we were celebrating our Sapphire wedding anniversary so it was lovely that it was all blue. My only criticism was that in hindsight, it was a very expensive hotel with no reception, no spa (we booked into the orange grove for treatments but assumed it was a proper spa with swimming pool only to find it was just rooms adjacent to the hotel.) £210 per night was a tad over the top just for a……

“Scarborough Hill Country Inn is a a gem! We were pleased to be offered a room upgrade when we arrived as we had initially booked a small double room and a larger room was available. We were very happy with the room offered - bright, airy, thoughtfully furnished and extremely clean. An extensive range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate were provided in the room along with complementary water. The restaurant was busy, however staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble. 5 stars for the food……
