Polan Vacations from $1,092

Excelente todo

Excelente hotel, el Staff maravilloso, gran ubicacion, desayuno muy completo. Los taxis llegan a la puerta del hotel. Tiene un Teatro a un lado en el mismo edificio. Muy recomendado.

A beautiful grand hotel. Old school in style and design yet clean and well maintained. Bathrooms even come with a shaving kit and toothpaste but no coffee in the room which was a small drawback for us. Situated on Madrid’s Gran Via, you have the best and worst of the location… it’s walking distance to everying including the palace, Plaza Mayor and the Prado. However, it’s also incredibly busy; sidewalks and streets are packed from dawn well into the evening and we heard the sounds of police/ambulance sirens almost every night. The cherry on top (literally on top) is the rooftop bar which made for a perfect spot for a drink after a day touring the sights.

Personnel accueillant. L’hôtel est très bien situé et facilement accessible par métro. La chambre était très propre et shampoing et savon à la disposition sont appréciés. Le seul petit bémol est la grandeur de la chambre et salle de bain mais nous le savions en réservant.

Horrible management. We pre-paid our stay through Expedia, but on the day of check in, hotel manager told us the property oversold and there is no longer a room for us even though we booked in advance and pre-paid our stay in full through Expedia. The manager said that due to Spain’s national holiday, the hotel oversold and no longer have a room for us because we used a 3rd party website. Completely horrible management by the hotel and the employee tried to shift blame / problem to the paying customers. However, once we mentioned our marriot bonvoy membership number, all of a sudden, there magically was a room available. This is not how paying customers should be treated, regardless of having a high status or not. We didn’t book through Marriot Bonvoy at the beginning since Expedia was offering the stay at a lower price. High status or not, this isn’t how a “5 star hotel” should treat guests.
