“This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating……

I was staying on the 21st floor which in itself wasn’t an issue but when you get back from a night out and large party of people are waiting for the lifts of which there are 2 it took a good 10 minutes or so to get to my room. I put this down to bad timing. The following morning I called the lift. It came up to the 20th floor then went back down again so I effectively had to wait for the other lift and……

I drove back onto the main road and saw a small lane on the right and a sign propped against the wall showing Church Farm guest house. There was no sign for anyone coming from Abergavenny, like me. “This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. Google Maps doesn't pin the location precisely, so look for the sign. We also recommend Köz Turkish Restaurant for a fabulous evening meal, Cafe N Joy for a simple……

“Friendly staff, clean and fresh. Shower door leaked a little and no sockets next to the bed. But overall would highly recommend. 20 mins into Cardiff and lovely pub/restaurant on site”

“This was lovely hotel with great staff but no elevator which is why I gave it a 4 star rating. The staff were gracious in taking up suitcases and there was an “honesty” lounge on the second floor with drinks and food. One just wrote in a book what you used and paid on checkout. A beautiful breakfast was included. The room and bathroom were newly renovated v8 The location was very walkable to the train station and close to the stadium. ”

“My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up.”
