The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the pool is the best place at any time of day. Even my teenagers had a great time between the pool, the hot tubs, and the garage filled with activities. The Painted Pony truly offers something for everyone....

“This cottage was a perfect fit for birders, away from the crowds and excellent open range area to catch the morning and dawn bird activity. The location is a short drive to the Chiricahuas. Our hostess was very accommodating, the rooms were well furnished and this provided a perfect base for our stay.”

“The guest suite at the Crossed J Ranch was the ideal place to stay for our Memorial Day weekend getaway to the Chiricahua National Monument and surrounding area. The studio was quite spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The hosts were wonderful and had the place stocked with a dozen fresh eggs, butter, filtered water, condiments, spices, etc. Staying on a working ranch was a truly delightful and unique experience. We enjoyed learning about the history of the area...

“Great property to get away from it all. The house was very clean and surprisingly big. The kids loved watching all the birds coming in to the feeders and walking around looking for lizards. You can't beat the mountain views at sunrise and sunset. Perfect base for exploring the Portal/Rodeo area.”

Johnny Ringo's grave is less than a mile away, check it out. Rob & Sharon are wonderful hosts! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and history. And great to talk to. Everything was great.
