My daughter and I stay at the Midlands Park once or twice a month and I have to say its always been a great experience. The rooms are modern, spotless and well equipped. Food in the Charters Bar is always excellent - I highly recommend the roast beef! The breakfast choice is amazing. All the staff are welcoming and very helpful. Looking forward to our next stay!

The meeting rooms are excellent, but having to pay for a room before you use it and will need coffees and or food throughout the day seems unreasonable to me. But room keys would not be handed over until the room was fully paid in advance, and then any refreshments throughout the day had to be paid for individually. I have been using meeting rooms throughout the 32 counties for over 25 years and have not been met with the attitude at the front desk on arrival. Disappointing, as the rooms and location are excellent

The pool was lovely, although the plunge pool wasn't working and the water was a little bit on the cold side. We still really enjoyed it. Rooms were clean and breakfast was lovely. Definitely will return.

6/10 Okay

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The hotel has an elegant look and feel and the staff was lovely. However we were traveling with children and after a long day in the car, and really looking forward to getting some energy out in the pool, we were told “no kids after 6.” It wasn’t “quiet time” in the pool as there was an aerobics class going on with booming music. Also, I had ONE towel in my bathroom. My daughter and her family were in an adjoining room and also had ONE towel, but the bigger problem was that the only water that came out of the tub was SCALDING once it heated up. The fixtures were somehow locked on with scalding water pouring out and my son in law had to use brute force and a towel wrapped around the fixture to finally get it off!! Fortunately no one was burned. Crazy!!
