Perfect spot if you are looking for a cheaper option. it was clean, quiet, and spacious. Definitely recommend driving but the walk wasnt too bad into town.
This place is quiet, relatively inexpensive, and near downtown Rhinebeck. The (basic) included breakfast is slightly irritating in that it's off-site, over at the Delamater Inn. My one complaint regarding the rooms is that they reek of motel-grade, heavily-scented disinfectant. Too much!!! But it's convenient, quiet, and you can walk over to the wonderful Lunchbox Cafe right down the street.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The property was just eh. When I turned down the bed there were crumbs on my sheets. You cannot check-in or out at the hotel, you have to go to the Beekman Arms. As for the "continental breakfast" you have to drive to a separate third location with a very limited breakfast selection. If I return to the Hudson Valley Food and Wine Fest, I will stay someplace else.
Very convenient location to historic Rhinebeck. Less than a minute from downtown by car and maybe 10-15 minutes from Hyde Park.
My room was spacious and clean. However, the place definitely is showing its age. Everything is a little dated and tired looking. I did have one small issue with the toilet seat and called the front desk. They were very professional and polite and handled the situation quickly and efficiently. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, iron and ironing board and blow dryer.
Price was very reasonable especially compared to other properties I looked at. So if you’re looking for a no frills, reasonably priced place to stay this fits the bill.
We stayed at The Village Inn, owned by Beekman. We have stayed there before and saw many improvements in the last 2 years ( there was fly paper hanging in the window last time we were here). The furnishings were lovely, a California King bed very comfortable, lovely dresser, armoire and couch. Unfortunately there was a terribly strong and offensive odor due to a Febreeze plug-in atomizer we had to unplug and tried to wait for the odor to fade (it took several hours). The curtains were hanging barely by the few hooks attached to the rod. The bathroom shower was fine, the only concern was the peeling wall paper in the bathroom and there were no Kleenex. We saw a rat running around outside the door as we entered the room. I don’t feel good about writing about the concerns but feel it is important for the admin to know. Years ago we stayed in a room at the old stables and found the room immensely comfortable. We have family in area but are unlikely to try Beekman again wether the main building or the off site buildings. I hope you can address these concerns so others can feel good about staying at Beekman.
Value for money, this is an excellent deal. The free breakfast is generous and good. would have to pay about $20 for a breakfast like this in a diner. You'll have to drive to the breakfast facility, but it's in downtown Rhinebeck, so not inconvenient. Check-in is offsite as well. At the Village Inn, there are no amenities. Not even ice or snack machines, so be prepared.
It is actually a bit outside of town and you check-in at a separate hotel IN town. It was easy enough to get the key. The room was clean and spacious, bare bones, but cozy. Breakfast is continental and also off site, but coffee and cereal available. We had a small issue, not hotel related, and the hotel staff was outstanding and accommodating. Would recommend.

We didn't see anyone in The Villaje Inn during our stay. You have to do the check in and check out in the near by Hotel Beekman Arms and that was a nigthmare for us because because we arrive a 10:30pm. The walking distance is 15minutes. The property is ok if you only want to sleep there. The beds are comfortable but tv doesn't work properly, nor the A/C. For the price is ok. The complemantary breakfast is ok.
It's convenient for us to stay at this property when visiting family in the area.
It's close to the center of Rhinebeck and Red Hook, so we have several choices for eating.

A perfectly suitable motel room for an overnight stay.
Needed a hotel to stay in for the night, and this one suited our needs. Wasnt like 5☆ Marriott quality but that said it was still pretty good for the price.
We wound up in the main hotel and the room was enormous and the bed was comfy. I always bring bath salts so it was a welcome reward at the nice deep tub.
