Erica C.,

The perfect home away from home!
Paolo was a fantastic host, and his home was perfect! This was our first (and hopefully not last!) trip to Italy, and Pretoro was our second stop. The house made for a great “home base” during our stay, and even more importantly, our two toddlers loved it. We spent most of our time in the center of Guardiagrele, and the house and Pretoro were just a short 15-20 minute drive away. We actually preferred this arrangement because it was so quiet, beautiful and breathtaking at Paolo’s house, versus staying in the more crowded city-center (plus, we’d just come from Rome). The scenery was beautiful and the house itself is beyond charming. Paolo was so helpful in the months leading up to our trip with questions I had about the area, and he had great suggestions and recommendations (things to do, restaurants, etc.) when we arrived. The house was exactly as he describes it in his listing. Unfortunately, since we spent so much time in Guardiagrele and off of the mountain, we didn’t actually get to go up the mountain and into the park. So should our travels hopefully take us back to Pretoro one day, we’d be happy to be his guests again and to explore Pretoro itself!
