"Friendly and accommodating staff, lovely breakfast, comfortable room with fantastic external view, and the property is set in beautiful surroundings."
"Made very welcome on our arrival. Room was clean and tidy, and dinner was delicious - all credit to the chef and kitchen staff who had to tackle all the orders for the night in one go following a village wide power cut. Breakfast was very tasty and set us perfectly for the walking ahead of us. The only criticism is that the shower was very hit and miss - either scalding or freezing!"
"Excellent accommodation and staff great choice of real ales the food was very good we had a lovely evening meal and breakfast would definitely stay here again."
"This is a fantastic hotel in a great location, all the staff were so friendly and the food in the restaurant was great… really nicely decorated and great showers "
"The pub was pleasant and lively and we enjoyed a good dinner. The room was on the small side but it had all the amenities we needed. The breakast was freshly cooked and excellent."
"It was busy when we arrived late afternoon so limited parking. Nice hotel. Convenient for visiting Southampton and Portsmouth. Would stay here again."
"Convenient location in the middle of town but no parking facility..Public car parking 100 metres away.
Bedroom noisy up to 23.00 due to karaoke in bar downstairs.
Very friendly and attentive staff and food choice and quality was excellent - best barbecued ribs I have had in a long time.
Well kept Real Ale."

"We only stayed one night, we had an evening meal which was good. Everything was excellent, only thing to note was the hair dryer was not working in our room, 114."
"From checking in to checkout the service was excellent. In particular Gemma on reception was very helpful. Very busy hotel with a lot of children staying. As long as you don’t mind noise in the restaurant area it’s an ideal hotel for staying over for one night. "
" All the staff we interacted with friendly and helpful. The spa was clean with good facilities, a good range of treatments with excellent therapists.
The breakfast buffet had a wide selection to cater for all tastes."
"Bed was comfortable but pillows were rock hard. Shower pressure and hot excellent. Biggest downfall was that you paid for parking per day. Dinner was reasonable price. "
"Breakfast was amazing everything that you could want .
Only issue , instant coffee served.
Room big and bright .
You need to bring your own water for kettle.

"My second stay at this hotel which pretty much mirrored the previous stay with a few more positives. I found a perfect parking spot just near the entrance and didn't want to give it up so I dined at the sports bar which was a wise decision as the food provided was top notch. My room was on the 2nd floor just around the corner from the leisure facilities which I took full advantage of using both the cardio equipment and weights. A very powerful shower later had me ready for bed which was comfy and led to a decent night's sleep. The breakfast buffet had great ingredients for both a cooked and continental choice of which I sampled a bit of both. For the caliber of place this is and all you have at your disposal, to get a quality room like mine for under £100 is considered a great bargain and I look forward to being back here again in the future."
