“It was a privilege to stay in the old town next to the castle in Gjirokaster. High above the modern city, next to castle and the old bazaar, it was not only convenient but an experience of a life from another time. Ever wonder what it’s like living way up on the hill in the castle? Last night residing in the old town, adjoining the castle, was that experience. Too high for any city lights to penetrate, it was dark skies. Only the stars and a sliver of the moon. No sound. Not traffic,……

“My husband and I went in August of 2025. This hotel is owned by a beautiful family. From my understanding, the owners are a husband and wife Elona, and they truly made our stay special with the help of their sweet staff. Elona was incredibly kind and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Her husband was just as sweet and is the head chef behind all the delicious meals we enjoyed during our stay. Also they speak English and Italian very well. They also recommended a boat tour for us……

“This hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The property is beautiful, clean and modern. The pool is a highlight and has great loungers. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and good quality Lush soaps. The location is ideal with the beach just across the street and good restaurants nearby. What really stood out was the staff at this hotel. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I dont usually write reviews but this hotel……
