Older but very well-kept property. Staff extremely friendly. Beautiful views of the valley from the back. Quality price relation is an 11 out of 10. Do use the pool and go up to the seventh floor to have a morning coffee while you look over the Sunfield valley

It’s a little difficult to initially find the property, as taxis can’t drive in to the road. It’s just parallel to plaza Domingo and is well located. The hotel is fabulous and full of character. The room was very spacious, with a generously sized bathroom. The breakfast is generally excellent, although the staff weren’t around on our final day, so no hot breakfast was available. The staff were very helpful with moving the luggage, particularly taking it back to the square when we departed-with Quito’s altitude, that assistance is invaluable!

Hotel Mama Cuchara is a lovely boutique hotel with a great location. The breakfast is delicious and the team took great care of us. We loved our stay there and would absolutely come back and stay again next time we are in Quito.

"This is a first class hotel with concierge at the top of their game. If I had to complain, the bathtub grouting needs replacing and the porcelain in the bathroom is looking tired. Apart from that the room was spectacular."
