As soon as we got upstairs it smelled of Marijuana and urine. The room was hot all the time even though we kept checking the thermostat to make it 66 degrees. At least it was mostly clean and quiet in the room. The door in the bathroom was hard to shut and at one point we were just miserable from how hot it got.

There's a really nice local park close by that I could take my dog to for a walk. There was also a local walking trail that literally passed through the hotel property. These facts, plus the fact that pets stay free are a 10/10 for a loving dog owner that travels with their pooch.

The hotel was dirty throughout the hallways and stairways. Room doors didn't work properly. Morning coffee supposed to be out at 6am but was 7am before it was available. Floors in my room we're sticky and large balls of dust covering items. My friend got a suite and discovered the sink had no pipes, the water literally dumping onto the floor, and no working TV. WiFi was not working and according to staff it had been for a few days. You have to pay extra/upgrade a room to get a fridge or microwave. I'd definitely never stay at this hotel again, and will avoid this chain when possible.

Customer service is terrible. I reserved and paid for my room ahead of time. Check in at 3pm, arrived at 4:10pm and was told that we had to wait another hour, room wasnt ready. The lady at the counter was not pleasant at all. Came back an hour later, the guy at the counter was confused about our room situation, juggling two computers at once. And waking up Sunday morning to a roach crawling on the floor. This will be our last visit to red roof in raleigh. Smh
