“Loved the secluded location within walking distance of the southern end of Lake Windmere. The cottage was smart and very clean, and well equipped, but we were stumpted on how to adjust the settings on the upmarket oven (a manual in kitchen drawer would have helped). We found that we had to be vigilant about the step in dark slate floor between bedrooms and kitchen/lounge (we used a bit of white cardboard to visually remind ourselves.) Had a great stay at The Bothy, we highly recommend it ”

“The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again.”

Shortly after payment we received an email confirming the booking and providing full details of the property, key safe number, location etc. The property is very spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. Parking space in Keswick a great bonus, and location is very central, just a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of town. We would certainly stay here again next time we visit the lake District, and would recommend the property to...
