Great facility. Poor managerial planning.Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Room layout, facilities, coffee, bed
Cons: Better planning for fully booked hotel. More staff. Management should be prepared for many guests, and they seem totally frantic about it.
Location: It's an oasis out here in the middle of WY where it's an oil refinery town. It's for workers in the oil industry and for weary travelers.
Stopped in the middle of WY on a road trip; mom and 3 kids. Expedia booking was full on all hotels except this one and another one (the two most expensive). Remarkable how the middle of nowhere can get so full. Check in was a long process; they weren't ready for so many people. They had 2 hostesses and like 6 guests standing impatiently. The hotel facilities, like the pool, computer room, dining area are very nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast is pretty good, too. The coffee is very good. The pool is 24 hours; we swam at 10 o'clock last night and they had NO towels. They ran out of towels. This morning, I looked in the pool room and STILL no towels and nobody has cleaned the pool area. The beds and pillows are excellent. The room layout is outstanding. At first glance, it's a great room. They have this door which leads to the outside, which is kind of weird and creepy, until you realize it's so easy to get in and out of your car without walking down the inner hallway. The hotel is very quiet at night. The room cleanliness seems great, until I realized that the floors are dirty. They apparently do not mop the tile each time they clean, so it gets some residue on your bare feet, which I found gross, and unacceptable for paying $162 a night! To me, they are short staffed and poorly planned. If they had better management, I would give a much higher rating. It's a comfortable place; an oasis.

Wyoming trip, Rawlins stayPosted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: It has a big indoor pool.
Location: We had to get back on the road so we did not see much.
The staff was not very friendly at all. One of the young ladies working in the lounge did not even talk to us!! And we were the only ones there. Lots of granite workers stay there. I applaud them for working on the Fourth of July. When I checked out the man at the front desk would not even look at me. As a Hispanic woman, I did not feel welcome here at all.

Will stay here againPosted Jun 9, 2015 on Hotels
Great place to stay -- newly remodeled/refitted rooms with a beautiful lobby/breakfast area. Breakfast was above the usual dry carbs with boring fruit. I liked the outside entrance. Also, it was so close to I-80. Downtown Rawlings is very historical and worth a walk through. Lots of fast food places on the east side of the town.

Awesome Stay OverallPosted May 21, 2015 on Hotels
Our stay at this hotel was very good overall. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was phenomenal (I've never had such good service from breakfast staff at a hotel), and the hotel itself was in good condition. Our only complaint was that there is no elevator (or none that we saw anyway) and it was hard lugging two tired little kids (along with all of the paraphernalia that comes with a preschooler and toddler) up the stairs to our room after driving all day. Other than that, the hotel was great.
