We can’t say enough good things. Giampous bakery next door is a must. And Dionysus homemade Greek food on the other side of the property was incredible. We will be back!!! "

But our room had a somewhat hard matress and we could hear the neighbours aircon on/off the whole night. We did not use the kitchen at all and i am sure that everything was working perfectly but a bit shabby."

"The property is very clean, the pool was lovely for a refreshing dip and there was a bar serving cool drinks. The beach and local restaurants were a short walk away. It would be advantageous if the property updated the air conditioning units, as the current unit did not keep the room cool. But an enjoyable and relaxing stay all the same."

"Loved our stay at Villa Mera, everything we needed was here. We were welcomed by the gorgeous Yolanda, who had left beers, water and wine in the fridge for us as well as tea and coffee. The villa is a good size and very homey. There’s aircon in every room. The garden is very private and beautiful with all the planting and the pool is lovely. The views from the balcony are very special. Yolanda gave us lots of recommendations for how to get around, we had taxi numbers, she organised a discount for parasailing and she checked on us throughout the week too. Everyone in this area is really nice and friendly. The shingle beach is 10 mins walk, and if you don’t have a car it was 15 taxi into Rethymno town. Lots of shops and restaurants here also."

"We absolutely loved our stay at this villa. The location was ideal for us, quiet, yet not too remote. The taverna and butchers in the village are lovely and very reasonably priced. The manager could not do enough to help us. Met us at the villa on the first day which was late in the evening and explained all. We then needed his help on 2 occasions as locked our selves out (doh, teenages) and he came to the rescue. The villa was just perfect, had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The pool was beautiful and just what needed. We would highly recommend this place and although we tend not to return to the same place may have to make an exception for this one. "

"I would not rate this property 4 stars. The ‘all inclusive’ was very limited. The dining area is very small with only a few choices at meal times. The walk to the beach was unpleasant. The hotel is on a noisy main road. I think the pictures are not a realistic reflection of how the hotel looks"

"The host was lovely and arranged our transfers and provided a cot and highchair. On arrival we found a bowl of fruit, a bottle of wine, olive oil & Raki. The Villa was very clean and well equipped. Beautiful outlook, close to shops and the beach, lovely pool although a little cold for the baby and no facility to have it heated. "

"Our holiday at Villa VerdeBlu was brilliant. The villa was exactly as it is pictured in the listing. The views are beautiful and watching the sunset from the top floor every evening before dinner was amazing.
Our 2 girls both enjoyed the pool every day and it was warm enough to still be in there on an evening while the BBQ was cooking.
It was over 30 degrees every day while we were there but the aircon in the villa was brilliant.
We hired a car as we wanted to go further afield, but the local town with plenty of shops, tavernas and the beach was only a short walk away.
Overall we would definitely recommend staying here. :-)"
