A terrible experience. Notified the owners of my approx arrival time, no one was there and all the doors locked. They apparently send you an email/text with the pincode but didn't send it to me! After 15 mins waiting in the dark & cold, another customer let me in... imagine if you arrived in the middle of the night with no way of getting into the hotel & no way of contacting the owners (the buzzer near the door didn't work & most travellers don't have internet/phone coverage outside of wifi).
Went to my room & instantly boiled the kettle but the kettle tripped he switch instantly & the power shut off. Called the number & waited for 15 mins downstairs while they arrived. She didn't know what to do & it was the last room & took me to one of their other hotels... No rooms there either!! Another staff member went to the room & found another power switch. Asked if I was ok to walk back to the original hotel (it's 1.1km away, with my luggage, at 830pm in the cold, without internet/any clue where I was going!), dropped me back when I said I needed a lift. The whole ordeal lasted over 1.5 hours... the last thing you need after 12 hr tour... Promised to bring breakfast the following morning, which didn't happen. No surprises there. No apologies from staff the following day.
Room was nice but this is the kind of place you can really get caught out at. Stay at a proper hotel for the same price. I'm staying at Room with a View which is nicer & better location for the same price
