Find Hotels on the River in Reykjavik

The apartment was spectacular and exactly as advertised. Location was very handy to the airport and Keflavik but quiet enough to feel remote. A fantastic place to watch the Northern Lights over Faxaflói Bay from a hot tub.

The only thing I did not like was the church bell across the street that rings every 15 minutes, but the hotel provides ear plugs. They were a great help.

Had an amazing experience. The apartment is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and goes above and beyond. Love this play so much that I almost dont want to share how good it is in fear that prices will go up for next time I come to Iceland!

Elli and Runa were amazing. Before our arrival. They already checked to see when we will arrive to prepare the place. Since we were arriving early. They graciously took in our luggages so we can go to the lagoons and enjoy the day without having to have our car full of luggages. The place was exceptionally clean with all kinds of goodies. Very close to the airport within 5 minutes. We truly enjoyed our stay there. We will definitely book with them again if we return to Iceland.

My husband, son (1 year), and I stayed here in November. The studio had a wonderful bathroom with a towel warmer! Believe me, you will want it. Great kitchenette and comfy beds. The hotel provides FREE milk, juice, and cereal for your stay. Oh, and tons of free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for FREE! The staff was very friendly. I had the most enjoyable stay at Eyja Guldsmeden! A very clean hotel with excellent service! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location of the hotel is very convenient. Special thanks to Laura who was super nice and helpful with dining recommendations! Will be back!

The property was beautiful. Updated, and the staff is very friendly. There was no parking, so that got a little pricey if you wanted to park close to the hotel, but I think that’s the norm in Reykjavík. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Iceland.

Super friendly checkin even tho we were late, gorgeous views. Not much within walking distance, but all other ways EXCELLENT!

The owner and staff were very accommodating and extremely helpful. They also went out of their way to make sure any questions we had were answered. Parking was free, great complimentary breakfast. Property is about a 40 minute drive from the airport, 15 min walk from the center of town. They really care about their business here. Support local small businesses. They truly care.

Amazing view on the balcony!

Clean, cozy, beautiful, well located hotel! Above all, the hotel staff was super kind and helpful. They helped us immediately when we had issues finding the bus back to the airport, and solved our problem and our stress of missing our flight. For us that was service above expectations and we are so greatful. I will always recommend staying here!! Thank you!

The house is fantastic. Very nicely decorated with all amenities. Beautiful view of Reykjavik and a convenient drive to all of its sights. The owner Sigi is very welcoming and helpful. Can't ask for anything more!

My stay at Alda & Iceland itself was wonderful. As a solo traveler I felt safe at the hotel & the front desk staff was very helpful as well as friendly! Room was cute & clean. They provided a coffee maker & mini fridge which I stored some items from the Bonus store 2 mins away. I was sad to leave.

Can be loud, but the windows are pretty sound-resistant. Just keep them fully shut!

I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were elegant, comfortable and cozy. Located very close to night life and restaurants but still in a quiet area. Close to several pickup locations for shuttle buses and tour pick up locations.
