"The property was very private and beautiful. The hot tub and sauna were a nice bonus. The solar shower was chilly, but refreshing after a sauna! We took out the paddleboat and caught fish. We used the firepit each night and the stars were bright and breathtaking. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this property to others who don't mind not having running water in the cabin."

"What a treat for us three sisters and our mates to spend several days together, especially since two of us live in different areas of VA and the other in MN! Our modern rustic cabin was well thought out, clean, and new. We enjoyed the "just right temperatured" hottub after a full day spent in Itasca State Park. The grill and kitchen provided good opportunities to cook tasty meals. Walking down to Long Lost Lake which is within sight, and hearing a loon and a possible muskrat swimming before sunset, was a memorable experience. And then, spending time wading in the headwaters of the Mississippi River in the Park was such a special treat."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Big Timbers. It was a great home base for exploring Itasca State Park & the surrounding area. The unit was clean & comfortable. Having ice cream across the parking lot was a huge bonus!"

"We enjoyed the room very much. Exceedingly clean and neat. Smooth, hard surfaced floors with furniture that gave the feeling of spaciousness. The location is great! About a mile from the north entrance to Itasca. We met the host and she was gracious and helpful. We highly recommend this place."

"Went with my sister for a getaway.The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Shower is huge and water was hot. Fire pit area was also nice.Annie was great to work with. She ket us know we could check in early and was quick with responding. I would recommend to those who want to disconnect from busy life."

"This was a great property and a great lake. Very quiet location with a deep spot at the end of the dock for lots of swimming and fishing too. The house was really nice and just as good, if not better, than the pictures. The view of water was perfect and the deck was a peaceful place to sit. Sara was very helpful and answered my messages quickly. We had 11 people with us at various times and I would definitely want to visit again."
