Siamo stati ospiti in questi giorni ( periodo natalizio ). Pur non trattandosi di un hotel a 5 stelle,abbiamo trovato la camera pulita, attrezzata adeguatamente , silenziosa ed ad un prezzo più che onesto.La struttura e’ in un palazzo storico ben tenuto in una zona particolarmente comoda e signorile ( via Nazionale ), a due passi dalla Metro Repubblica e a poco più dalla Stazione Termini. Personale cordiale e per nulla invadente, ci hanno concesso senza problemi di depositare le valige per alcune ore dopo aver lasciato la stanza in questo modo abbiamo potuto visitare liberi da impicci la bellissima città di Roma fino praticamente all’orario di partenza. Difetti? Ascensore solo per due persone.

le bois de la fenêtre pourrie à cause de l'humidité sur la vitre, cuvette plus petit que les toilette, siège douche fendu, pas de savon douche, tout petit chauffage d'appoint, aucune présence de personnel à notre arrivé pour récupérer les clés, petit déjeuner incomplet ( jus, café payants ).

Great Place to Stay

We stayed for 4 nights mid April 2018. This place is a very good as a base to explore the Roman attractions which is exactly what we wanted. Its a very good B&B. Veronica was a lovely host and greeted us every morning when we had a simple breakfast. There are local restaurants offering 'full breakfasts' if that's your preference. Rooms were very clean, towels changed twice during our visit. This was our first visit to Italy and therefore Rome, so it was an experience getting to the 5th floor of 243 Via Nazionale using the lift !!! :-) 243 Via Nazionale is a very big multi tenanted building - Esedra Inn is on the 5th floor of Block B (of blocks A,B C and D). Colosseum etc is around a 40 minute walk, Trevi Fountain around 15 minutes, Spanish Steps around 25 minutes. All in all a great central place to stay and thanks to Veronica for making us welcome!

Terrible hotel which is falling apart

Upon arrival the lift was out of order and we were told to carry our luggage up 4 floors by a maid who couldn't speak much English. The maid handed me her phone on check in to speak to the manager who said he would arrive in the afternoon (he didn't). We were shown to our room without any explanation how to lock/unlock & access the hotel (there were a bunch of about 5 keys). We had issues locking the room and found it a little odd that the owner seemed to know exactly how to lock/unlock the door which wasn't as simple when we tried. The condition of the room was terrible, everything was pretty much falling apart and held together with tape. We saw the owner once throughout our stay, this was when we requested he come and sort out the security issue with the door. Other than this, there was 1 maid in the morning and throughout the rest of the day nobody on reception. If I was you, I'd spend more money on a better hotel. Esedra Inn spoilt our experience of Rome. We were finally given the option to check out and receive a refund but this was only sorted for our final night and after spending hours on the phone to Expedia. We found a MUCH better hotel which didn't cost much more (Venetia Palace).

No AC, no minibar, good location

The description stated there'd be functioning air conditioning in the room, well, there wasn't and this is a real problem in Rome in July. There was a weird bathtub in the "sitting" room and mirrors everywhere. The room looked clean and OK but we had a nasty surprise of bug bites after the visit... I'm afraid I can't give better ratings or recommend this place to anyone.

We had room 6 which is economy apparently. The room is very small, not a double room and would suit a single traveller. Bathroom was excellent. The main problem with the room is its situated right next to the hotel door/reception desk and sitting area, you have no privacy at all as you can hear everything going on.I booked the room with free breakfast but there is none. There is however a vending machine tucked away in the corner. You are allocated 5 keys (1 for the big main door leading to the street outside, 1 for the big metal gate inside, 1 for the small elevator, 1 for the hotel and finally 1 for your room. Incredible. Having said all this if you get a room other than No.6, it is a great building/hotel.

in the website there is not information that place is a guesthouse. the place was located in 5 floor and the lift could be used just who have the keys and nobody to give information. we could entrance to place because we bought a cellphone chip and called to hotel ... after the stressfull begining it was ok...

Super Lage, ruhig und doch zentral

Rezeption ist nicht immer besetzt, deshalb vorher die Ankunftszeit mitteilen. Kleines Frühstück (Croissant's, kleine Kuchen, Joghurt und Kaffee, Tee, O-Saft) ist denke ich erstmal ausreichend. Haben in der Nähe leider keine andere Möglichkeit zum frühstücken gefunden. Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Man könnte mit wenig Geld die Kleinigkeiten die im Zimmer nicht in Ordnung waren beseitigen ( Klobrille defekt, Klobürste defekt, Badezimmermülleimer defekt, Tagesdecke hatte ein Loch. Das Bett war sehr hart, es lag sicherlich am fehlenden Lattenrost ( Matratze lag auf einer Mdf-Platte)
