If you’re looking to stay, like I was, as close as possible to the Gemelli Hospital, this is the location for you. But, if you’re looking for luxury and/or amenities as well, this is absolutely the opposite. The staff is nice and helpful. My room was the ugliest room I’ve ever stayed in, the lights not so bright and there was no decor. Nothing will work in it if you do not insert the key card into a slot underneath the switches inside the room. The bathroom was in major need of renovation. No bar or even restaurant on the premises. Just breakfast all the way down the ground floor. And keep in mind that it ends at 10:00am sharp. The selection of breakfast items on buffets was great but served in a cafeteria style environment with coffee machines. When you arrive, there’s no valet parking but just self parking. And if you have luggage, get ready to drag it on a gravelled road first and up 2 sets of steep stairs afterwards. There’s really nothing “ walking distance “ but if you’re willing to walk 15 mins, there’s a restaurant “ Da Gabriele “ on Via Trionfale that is absolutely fantastic. Great food in a neighborhood restaurant. Nothing fancy but amazing food and service.

Entrance steps.and restaurant

The hotel was okay, but the steps to get into the reception are a problem. At no time did the staff offer to help with bags. The food in the restaurant is great and the staff friendly and knowledgeable.

Pros: Hotel was nice, very clean, comfortable room and bed, good breakfast. Cons: Hotel staff not very welcoming or overly friendly. All activities (swimming, exercise facilities) are an extra charge! I have never stayed at a hotel where I've had to pay extra for these amenities. There is a restaurant but it is not open for lunch and doesn't open for dinner until 7:30 pm. The outside grounds are in need of care. It could be beautiful, but the plants and shrubs are neglected, in need of trimming and watering. There is absolutely nothing nearby to do, not even a nice neighborhood to take a walk. It is very remote from all the tourist areas in Rome. It is a half-hour cab ride to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. If you are just looking for a relaxing place to rest it would suit your needs. It is very quiet. I personally would not stay here again.

To go anywhere you need to go by bus. A McDonalds and one restaurant were about a 5 minute walk. Never had hot water, warm at best. Mattress hasn’t been replaced in awhile, or just the cheapest they could purchase. Breakfast is nothing special. Expected more than th hotel was able to deliver. Would stay somewhere else next time for the price.
