“The whole building was very clean, and the staff extremely courteous. My room was very large with a kitchenette and en suit bathroom with a good shower room.”

“Due to travel problems and cancelled flights I ended up getting here late, almost midnight. Way after check in time. Luckily I set off security lights entering parking spot. The owners were very nice and hooked me up with a beautiful room even though I probably woke them up. The bed was clean and very comfortable. Cute room with fridge and microwave. Owners were awesome and helpful. Location is great as I am listening to the waves while writing this. Just a great bang for your buck……

“The room was okay, the bed was dirty the floors not great either. The fridge stunk !! I booked a room, upon arrival i was informed my bed was already sold to someone else and was forced to pay an additional fee for an upgrade as that was all that was available. Was told it's that or cancel the booking even though the email stated no refunds !! I had roaches running around and felt stuff crawling on me. Never again !! R550 paid for a terrible night of little sleep and i could not even……

“Basic accommodations, didnt look like the photos. Less of a hotel bit like staying in someone house. Mold around shower and ok room for a quick overnight stay. 20 min walk to restaurants though. Bed comfy. ”

“We had a lovely stay at Acara. The host was a joy to converse with and very accommodating. The location was excellent and made it easy to visit many vineyards, beaches, and shopping in the surrounding area. The views of the mountains, vineyards, and horses from our cottage were also a highlight. We look forward to visiting again! ”

“They are not accommodating at all I booked for myself and my 11 year old and 15 year old. Conning from the USA about 5 hours away I got they don’t allow kids under 16 and I have to pay extra for them to stay there. No where does that say it on the booking form or info page. Then got told I should be luck to get a refund. Would not recommend this place at all ”

“A little bit old fashioned, but very friendly and clean. Excellent Bed. Spacious and clean bathroom, could need a little fresh up. Good restaurant, excellent breakfast. Excellent and quiet situation. Near to different touristic places.”

“Super tolles, schön eingerichtetes, sauberes, großes Zimmer mit allem, was man sich wünscht, inklusive Jacuzzi auf der Terrasse. Man merkt, dass die Ausstattung von höchster Qualität ist. Das Personal ist super herzlich und zuvorkommend. Die Anlage ist wunderschön weitläufig und lädt zum schlendern und entdecken ein. Die indischen Laufenten waren ein absolutes Highlight. Frühstück und Abendessen waren hervorragend, ebenso wie das Wein Tasting.”
