Large 2-level south deck overlooking 300 yards of the river with spectacular view of 100-ft Ponderosa pines, mixed with spruce and fir.

Located in the Historic Upper Canyon, this 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin sleeps 6-8: 1 king, 2 queen, and 1 double sofabed.

Features include: Wood-burning fireplace, central heat, washer and dryer, local telephone, 3 TVs (satellite), DVD, microwave, coffeemaker, hand mixer, toaster, CrockPot, BBQ propane gas grill, and 3 car parking.

Wildlife sightings: Deer, small animals, and birds, almost certain. Black bear and elk possible but not guaranteed.

Ruidoso Getaway

Our family comes to Ruidoso in October every year. We love the location of this cabin. It has a beautiful view of the river sitting on the back patio. We will definitely plan to stay here again!

I absolutely adored the retro style home and decor. This house took me back to my youth and the times I used to visit in the 80’s! Great location, very clean, well stocked and loved the back patio on the Rio. Thank you for the stay my boys and I loved it.

Nice place to stay. We did find that the recliners were nice but too low & not very comfortable, & we are not tall people. Also the camodes are very low. But we were happy overall with our stay. It was quite & peaceful, which is the main thing we wanted. Appreciated the cleanness, & the beds were comfortable.Thankyou.

Cute cabin, amazing location!

Our little family loved this cute cabin! It has been renovated since the pictures listed so that was a nice treat. We loved seeing all of the wildlife (deer, turkeys, and horses!). The river view was just gorgeous! We had a user error with the shower but the owner was QUICK to respond. We will be back! This is such a gem!

Peaceful stay

The property is in an ideal location. Well stocked, the house has a large bedroom with a king bed and another with 2 queens so it would be great for a family or friends. The kitchen is large and well equipped so you can enjoy your time watching the wildlife. It was fun to watch the elk, deer, and even wild horses grazing in the yard. It is a shame what the Ruidoso flood has done to the city and some damage in this neighborhood, but it did not affect our stay. We would rent again and hope to next year.

Peaceful and scenic

The view of the river was beautiful and the deer’s that came around the property each day were an extra treat. The house was fairly clean but had a musty odor. The microwave was trashed handle missing, broken off and plastic front was busted broken. Could not figure out how to use tv each channel I found wanted to charge to watch. To turn shower on/off very difficult, had to call host to tell me how to manage it but I believe they should be repaired. Aside from the items mentioned, we did enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful location.

A quick treat

The deck on the river sells it. The house is fine, nice floor plan, older decor, nice to have a washer/dryer, the kitchen table is great for games, the family room is nice with a great picture window view out the back,tvs need updating but that’s not really why you are here. The deck on the river is the sweet spot. It’s a nice rental with a wonderful view.

CLEANLINESS

Amazing river view but the cabin needs a lot of improvement in cleanliness. You can tell the maid doesn't move anything to clean, I'm not even talking about furniture, but behind the trash cans, the window sills, the stove, the oven, the microwave were fealty!! but the worst part were the beds, they had smelly sheets and pillows, even the blanket we got from the closet was dirty, we have to go to walmart to get us something new. Also there's a huge window in the kitchen with no blinds. The view was awesome but that should be optional, since we had no Privacy and the kitchen felt cold.

So much nicer than the pics!

Gorgeous area close to everything. Home has been updated since pics were taken, no carpet, and plenty of room for the family. Big comfy beds and so much wildlife! We had deer and elk all over the front and back yard. So peaceful. Would definitely stay there again.
