“We had one negative (but many positives) experience with Chipman Hill suites. The premises are clean and comfortable. There's a level of attention to details. The location is great, we were able to walk around downtown with ease and enjoy what the city had to offer. The bed was extremely comfortable and we appreciated the fully furnished kitchen to cook and keep our food cold. Also, the historical charm of the building felt on theme with St-John.  Unfortunately, we had a very bad first……

“We had a great experience here. The location is great for walking to the harbour. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Communication was very good, and check in was easy. We will come again if we’re back in St. John.”

“Architecture is interesting and authentic for 100 yrs or so ago when built. Lots of common areas for seating and socializing. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. No AIR CONDITIONING! Fan present but falls short of a comfortable temp when hot outside (as it was for my stay). Staff were friendly and greeted us upon arrival. Explained facilities and processes. Bathroom was clean with a nice cast iron enameled tub/shower. Room was a bit lacking for counter/storage space.”
