Saint Thomas Vacations from $964

Was pleasantly surprised by the room we rented. Room number 1. Had a private washroom, fridge everything we needed for a 2 night stay at the beach. The bed could be a queen to give 2 adults a little more room. We were grateful for the air conditioner and coffee machine. They supplied a couple bottles of water, some granola bars which help when heading to the beach. Would be nice to have a patio door to go outside from the room but it was just a short distance to front door. The common area was pleasant but very stuffy and and damp but was told they just cleaned up after flooding so I'm sure a dehumidifier will solve the issue. Close to beach, right beside a great restaurant, parking right out front. Would stay again in room 1. The gentleman who helped us get to our room was pleasant and very helpful. Everyone was friendly.

We were given a room with two queen beds. The room itself was nice and large, initial impressions were good. But then things went downhill. The room was cold, so we turned off the air conditioner. For some reason that immediately caused water to come flooding out of the light fixture near the door to the room (inside the room) which resulted in water all over the floor (and not just a few drips, it was a fair amount if water that then had to be mopped up). The guy on the front desk seemed unqualified or unwilling to help much. He ended up telling us that the solution was the leave the AC running. And he gave us a bottle of wine. The next day he did tell us he would take 15% off our bill (not enough in my opinion). But when we checked out early the next day, no discount. Aside from that: - The smell of air freshener in the hallways was overpowering. - The pillows were comically thick so we didn't get a lot of sleep. We won't be staying here again.

The motel was under renovation so there were no ice machines
