I don't believe in the statement "you get what you paid for." Yes, this is a cheap motel, but this does not excuse for the conditions of the rooms. Bed sheets were stained, and we found bed bug stains on the lamp, bed cover, and sheets. That alone was enough to convince me not to stay. The restroom had not been cleaned and there was hair all over the floors. Someone had shoved a paper cup in the EXPOSED bathroom light fixture. (fire hazard) and there was no seal on the outside door, so outside air came in and you could hear any noise from outside. (I'm sure that allows for bugs to enter the room as well. To really finish the deal, we found a BED BUG on the light fixture by the bed. We caught it and brought it to the front desk. We were not offered a new room. (we later found out there were NO OTHER ROOMS TO OFFER.) We had family staying at the hotel and they told us the front desk staff mentioned there were only 14 rooms in the entire hotel that could be reserved because they weren't up to "standards" This frightens me, because our room was far from livable. The lady who checked us in was very nice (she is the one highlight here), and the man who worked the evening shift was "professional" but the tone he spoke to us in came across as quite rude. (I work in customer service full time and I know how it goes, but that's no excuse to act like we were stupid for requesting a refund.) I sent pictures to management and got my refund. DON'T STAY HERE, just save yourself the trouble.
