Oceanfront Home with Spectacular Views

This lovely west facing ocean side home commands spectacular views of the ocean. Meander down a few steps to the warmest swimming beach on Salt Spring. Enjoy spectacular sunsets from the large deck. This home sits on a 1/2 acre surrounded by a mature apple orchard, providing total privacy. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, living room with wood burning fireplace and french doors that open onto a large deck, washer/dryer, all bedding and towels supplied.

Within a short walk, you will find a quaint village store, an oceanside restaurant and government wharf. All located in the desirable neighbourhood of Vesuvius Bay.

Salt Spring is the largest of the Gulf Islands and is an ideal vacation destination. From May to October, the town of Ganges hosts the famous Saturday outdoor market where you can buy arts and crafts, farm-fresh vegetables, island-made cheeses, and homemade treats. On Salt Spring you can also enjoy fishing, golfing, tennis, hiking, ocean kayaking, vineyards, a brewery, a cidery and a new recreation centre. The cottage is an 8 minute drive from Ganges, the heart of Salt Spring Island, where visitors can enjoy restaurants, pubs, and art galleries.

Amazing!

We had a wonderful time staying at this quiet, private, relaxing property! The home is amazing and great for a family with teenagers/kids. The views of the ocean and wildlife are beautiful and we loved spending time exploring the beach. It is tucked away in quiet Vesuvius but close to Ganges for any shopping you need to do. We would highly recommend it and would love to stay here again!

Well appointed sea side home

We loved the convenient location to ferry and shops. The decor is so lovely, had everything we needed. Grounds are beautiful, enjoyed our sea side views while sitting around the fire pit.

The home was beautiful! It had everything we needed including a high chair and playpen. The views of the ocean are spectacular and the home is beautifully decorated and laid out for relaxing. Island Getaway

Drinking coffee in the morning watching the ferry go by such a relaxing stay. Clean comfortable beds,very well stock kitchen. We would highly recommend this stay. We wish we had more time .

Why stay anywhere else

The place is right on the beach, so much space to sit and relax either looking out at the ocean or sitting around the kitchen bar. We had four adults and it was relaxing every time we came back from being out. We particularly liked the reading bench in front of the big window. The place was clean, Darcy was available if we needed. Would stay here again if we ever come back to the island.

Wonderful place old world cottage but thouroughly mondernized lovely interior everything you could want. group of seniors away for a few days loved the views. very relaxing and fun.

This house exceeded our expectations, it is beautiful both inside and out. It’s location is perfect, lovely views out to sea. Inside it’s spacious, well equipped and there are many lovely pieces of art and decoration. We had a great stay and will be back.

Great location. Watching the ferry come and go has been entertaining. Beds comfy and bathrooms are very nice. Loved having the fireplace and appreciated that wood was supplied Interested in finding out about other properties connected to this one for a future visit

Absolutely beautiful beach front home. Spectacular views & breathtaking sunsets. Home is very cozy and comfortable and well equipped with everything (and more!) that you need. Family getaway first time visit to Salt Spring

A beautiful property, incredibly groomed, with awesome views of the sea and incredible sunsets. An awesome kitchen, comfortable bedrooms/bathrooms and urban coastal decorating feel throughout. Nice sunroom and great outdoor patio space.and loved the outdoor fire pit. The weather was amazing and the wildlife around and about while we were there an added bonus! Close to the ferry and great location to explore the local area. We would absolutely return. Loved it.

ANNUAL GIRLS WEEKEND

We have stayed every October over the past 5 years, to soak up our long-standing girl's friendship (school graduation friends). A gem by the sea

We found the cottage wonderful, perfect for our needs, very well renovated and appointed. The kitchen had everything one could need,.. everything was esthetically pleasing. It is a good place for a couple, or someone with one or two young children. Not for two couples, as there is only one bathroom upstairs, and the down stairs bedroom with small bathroom still needs to undergo a full renovation. The lower floor is dark and poky. We are looking forward to returning when the weather is better.

Girls getaway

The location of the property is perfect, easy to find from the Crofton-Vesuvius ferry terminal. The house is bright and airy, with wonderful views, sunsets from the deck and living room plus easy beach access. The kitchen was fully outfitted and had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and one dinner. It was a great base for all our exploring, we could have used another day on the Island. There was only one thing to critique that wasnt a 5 star and that was the basement. We arrived on a cool, rainy day and found watching tv downstairs was cold, the thermostat didnt seem to work. Which also left the room a bit musty smelling. Otherwise a fun vacation away from Parksville.
