The perfect place to stay on Saltspring...close to ferry, Ganges and beaches but quiet and peaceful at the same time. The lake and the dock were lovely and the bathroom was imported from a five-star hotel..huge tub and shower! Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen and lounge well appointed. We brought our spaniel who had the best time.

The unit was very spacious for 3 adults & a dog. It had lots of natural light. The upper patio was appreciated on a sunny afternoon. The beds were comfortable. I would have liked a few more towels in the bathrooms. Installing a dishwasher would improve the cleanliness of the dishes from one renter to the next.

Large, quiet space with easy check in. Only complaint is the lack of ‘lake view’.

The cottage was very pretty .... nice fireplace, beautiful deck and lake view, comfortably furnished. We weren't aware that there would be many stairs leading from the parking area to the cottage. Fortunately, we have the mobility to manage those stairs and carry our luggage, but many people our age would have difficulty. We were disappointed that we couldn't check in until 5:00. A 4:00 check in would enable guests to settle in and begin their vacation time more comfortably. We felt that the kitchen facilities could have been cleaner. The oven had not been cleaned for a long time, and the dish drying rack, and the kitchen sinks needed a good scrub. We also gave the fridge interior a wipe-down.

Big cottage with so much space, great for families to spend time together. We enjoyed the delicious local coffeee the hotel provided for us! The entire cottage was clean, kitchen very well equiped, bathroom upstairs is so big, elegant, great for relaxation. Amazing property close to the ferry terminal and downtown Ganges.

The unit was spacious, clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were large and clean. The furniture in the sitting area was saggy and uncomfortable, needs replacing soon. There is no air conditioning and no dishwasher.

The office were excellent and made a necessary early check-in, very easy. Beds were very comfortable and lively linen. Only negatives were bathroom glasses, and we couldn’t make either tv work. Free coffee supplied and very good coffee it was… But there was no tea.

The location was great, staff are friendly, the cabins are nice and comfortable, and they very kindly had our room ready when we arrived to the Salt Spring Island earlier than expected (3pm)… but unfortunately the cleanliness of the cabin needs a lot of work.

The Cottages is a very nice property. Spacious 2 bedroom 3 bath, full kitchen, dining and living room. Deck and patio with furniture. However, almost every table top is quite marked and old looking. Soft furniture is getting kind of worn. Lamp shades broken and lopsided. It’s a very, very hilly property,so if you have mobility issues it would be a real problem to walk around. Also, I don’t like paying hundreds of dollars to rent a unit and being asked to strip the beds, take out the garbage and recycling and make sure dishes are done and put away. No DW. It starts to feel like they don’t want to do anything. Check in is 5 pm, which in my experience is quite late and check out is 10am. Management sends you a door code and cottage assignment by email. The office closes at 4, so you don’t see anyone. Also, the property is outside of town so you must have a car and drive for meals out or shopping.
