Check in couldn't have been easier. Terry, the host, was in contact with us while we were there and went the extra mile and gave us complimentary snacks and drinks. We didn't have any issues during our short stay. The pool was a great and relaxing amentity, especially after coming back from a tour in the hot month of August. Thank you, Terry, for a memorable stay!

Excellent San Ignacio Choice

This property is extremely clean and pleasant. I felt it was an excellent choice for the price. The above ground pool off a nice deck is clean and refreshing. The bedrooms are all air conditioned and comfortable with comfortable mattresses. The rest of the house is not air conditioned but has numerous fans. We did not have a car and walked into town but the walk back is uphill and we often got a cab or scheduled a ride back especially in the dark.

Hilltop Villa

We had a wonderful time in San Ignacio. The check in was simple and the house was clean. We booked our excursions through the owners and received a discount. Onil was our tour guide for all the excursions we did and he was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. The pool was nice to lounge in after a full day of fun in the sun.

Excellent host

Since the time of the reservation, our host was very helpful, attentive, and thoughtful through the email communication. Even after the cancellation of the reservation due to the tropical storm Sara, she was very sweet, helpful and understanding!! I would definitely recommend her and her property.

Kids loved the pool, the rooms were spacious and everyone was very comfortable. We had everything we needed and the grocery store was right down the road. Hostess was excellent and very helpful! Would stay here again anytime! Highly recommend!

Great Place for a Home Base in San Ignacio

Terry was a phenomenal host. Great communication before and during our stay. She also coordinated our Tikal and River Cruise tours - both were excellent. She was very accommodating for a few special requests as well. The house has all the basic amenities. We especially enjoyed the pool after several hot days touring in the area!

Wonderful stay in San Ignacio!

This house was a perfect choice for our family of four. Terry was so gracious and helpful during our visit. We also booked two full days of tours with the hosts' company - Cayo Inland Expedition - and had two fantastic days. The pool in the backyard was great for cooling off after hot days, and we saw lots of wildlife from the deck too (green parrots, iguanas, and a Pygmy owl!) Easy walk into town for some great restaurants and it was quiet at night in the air conditioned bedrooms. Highly recommend this listing!

This is a 5 star set up.. The owner/host is amazing and took such good care of us. We did a couple of tours with them which could not have been easier and worth every penny. Do not hesitate to book as this could not have been more perfect...Thankyou so much for having us and this was a memory we will never forget... You are the best..

Terry was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We had to do a lot of last minute shifting due to delayed and canceled flights, and she helped us out with that.

Comfortable, clean, and spacious house

Our family of six (2 adults, 4 kids) stayed here for three nights in March 2024. The house had everything we needed. Wi-Fi worked well. There is a covered parking spot right by the entrance. The neighborhood felt very safe with a good amount of privacy. The highlight for our kids was the pool - it was just the right temperature and very clean. Although, we mostly drove to town to eat at restaurants, the kitchen seemed to be well equipped. Terry was a super nice, helpful, and communicative host. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place for the family or friends

This place was great for my family of 5. Plenty of room for everyone to hang out together or separately. Did 2 tours arranged by Terri and neither was a disappointment. There was a convenience store close by although it is uphill to get back. Love the area and come every time I’ve had the wonderful chance to visit Belize. There were hammocks to enjoy ( a must for me) and the house was great to come back to after a day of activities. The house was very clean and the A/C was used for only one night but got the master bedroom cold quickly. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Nice property in San Ignacio

The house was as advertised. It was clean and the owner met us there upon arrival. It is close to town and shopping. The pool was clean and cool. The AC in the bedrooms worked great but to be clear there is no AC in the common areas. The owner Terry also owns Cayo Inland Adventures. We did the ATM tour one day and the river waterfall tour the next. They picked us up at the house for both. They were both great.

Great location for adventures out of San Ignacio

We loved this rental! It has a fabulous view of the San Ignacio valley with lots of shade. It was great to have the above ground pool to cool off in. There were individual air conditioning units in the bedrooms, if we needed it to sleep. However, two of our four nights, the evening was cool enough to just keep the windows open. San Ignacio has several eating options that are quite inexpensive, so we would eat our breakfast in the house and eat out for lunch and dinner. As for activities, we did Cahal Pech, walking there from the house, although it was a 400m uphill walk after walking downhill from the house. We also would recommend the Green Iguana Project (great!), the AJAW Chocolate experience, Xunantunich (only a 20 min drive away), and the ATM cave tour (Terry arranged this for us). We loved this adventure!

A Wonderful place to stay with an amazing host

We would highly recommend staying at Terry's house in San Ignacio. We are a family of 5 and it was wonderful to have space to spread out and to be able to use the fully stocked kitchen (with ample filtered water). The pool was lovely to cool off in and the hammocks on the two decks were also wonderful. The house itself was very comfortable and clean. The AC units in the bedroom were great and the fans in the living area made it a comfortable temperature. While not right in town there was a grocery store just down the hill and it was an easy 20 minute walk into the heart of town (uphill on the way back but a simple cab ride makes it a 5 minute drive away). We walked to the Cahal Pec ruins in 10 minutes (highly recommended) and got a taxi driver's number from Terry to pick us up and take us to the Xunantunich ruins (only a 15 minute drive away). We loved exploring them on our own, but you could also ask Terry to arrange a tour for you through her tour company. We had her tour company (Cayo Inland Expeditions) arrange our transfer from the water taxi to the house and back to the airport. We even had added a cave tubing tour on to our transfer and loved every minute! It made the travel from Caye Caulker to San Ignacio feel like a private tour and not just a travel day. Terry also arranged a day tour to Tikal for us. It was an amazing day and we would HIGHLY recommend it! Tikal was only 2 hours away. Everything went smoothly! We loved every minute of staying here!!

The perfect house

I can’t say enough about this gem. From communication to checking in to the location to the amazing house. Terry is just an amazing hostess. The reviews are spot on. The photos don’t do this house justice. Safe neighborhood. Big bedrooms. Perfect for the 5 of us. We had teens, 2 17 year olds, a 15 year old. My mother-in-law and myself. The bedrooms are upstairs and all had air conditioning. We only used at night. The down stairs was huge. 2 dining room tables to a well stocked kitchen utensils, cookware, plates, glasses, etc. we arrived to coffee, creamer, big water bottles a d a huge bottle of coke. The swimming pool was cleaned everyday for us. Beautiful views. Loved having laundry on site. Terry arranged a tour for us. We went to XUANATUNICH, zip lining, cave tubing. Our tour guide was awesome. The park workers were amazing and the zip liner was so funny. Even this 51 year old and 69 year old made it with the kids. I would definitely rent this house again. 2 words Just Perfect. Right by a grocery store and easy to get around San Ignacio. We will be back Thank you for a wonderful 5 Ishtar, wish it were more. The price was amazing also 5 STARS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Great home base for San Ignacio!

Great location for us to base our adventures in San Ignacio! Our hosts were attentive and were quick to respond to any issues we had! The pool was an excellent bonus that we used every night! Highly recommend staying here for San Ignacio

Great place to stay in San Ignacio!

Perfect home away from home to explore San Ignacio. Located in a great little neighborhood surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and sounds. We had a wonderful stay at Terry’s place. Terry was kind, helpful and attentive. The pool was a definite asset after hot days exploring. Laundry facilities were much appreciated. Short walk to grocery store, town, restaurants etc. Very convenient to have Cayo Expeditions pick us up right at the house for tours. We loved our stay here!

Private and peaceful

The pool was wonderful after a hot day of exploring! The layout was perfect for 2 couples plus 2 teens. Having laundry available was fantastic. Only thing that could have made it better would be access to a barbecue. We'd also highly recommend doing a tour with their tour company, Cayo Inland.

Nice property

We enjoyed our stay at this house just outside of San Ignacio. Three of us, adult friends, each had our own bedroom in a nice property with a great pool. It was a 20 to 25 minute walk in to town, or an inexpensive taxi ride. Communication with the owner was pretty good. We had one issue with a bedroom AC unit not working, and they had it replaced pretty quickly.

Excellent Home and Host

There is a lot of care put into the upkeep of this house, it’s incredibly clean, it’s beautifully appointed and quite welcoming. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and the house. I was in contact with Terry throughout the stay, any questions were answered immediately. They also offer tours, we did not take advantage of this simply because we had plans set already. It would have been a wonderful convenience otherwise. The rooms are big, the bathrooms spacious, hot water was plentiful. The pool is lovely, a welcome retreat after a long day of sightseeing. We really appreciated the ease of checking in and out. We had plenty of fresh towels. The washer and dryer were available for our use, that was a bonus after going on the ATM tour. We were welcomed with a few items in the fridge which we greatly appreciated. I would absolutely recommend the house and would stay there again, we’re already talking about a return trip.

Wonderful

We loved the property. Well stocked and clean. Terry is super responsive and helpful. We also did a tour of Xunantunich and ATM Cave tour with their company, Cayo Inland Expeditions, which were both great. Dimas was our tour guide for Xunantunich and it was our favorite experience. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour a highlight for us. You can walk to the downtown district from the house and can easily walk to Cahal Pech. We saw a toucan in the tree right by the house and enjoyed relaxing at the house. The kids got in the pool daily. Highly recommend!
