Modern and Cozy 1B - Heart of Railyard District

Casa Estaca, located in the heart of the historic and hoppin' Railyard Area, is a quiet and cozy hideaway in a wonderful part of town! The Railyard, Santa Fe Plaza, Museums, Canyon Rd, an array of bars and restaurants, are all within a one to fifteen minute walk. Bringing Fido? Frank Ortiz dog park only a six minute drive. Great for couples, skiers, small families, and furry friends! *Free parking around the corner (2 min. walk to unit).*

Casa Estaca is located in the downstairs back unit. The front door is accessed by two steps. The bedroom and living room are one shared space. Please see pictures.

There is free parking available around the corner for 1 car, only a two minute walk to the unit. Parking details will be sent after booking. There is also paid meter parking right in front of the building for loading or unloading.

The Railyard District is Santa Fe's premier destination for focused regional and international contemporary art. Located 7 blocks southwest of the Plaza, the spacious warehouse style venues are within walking.

The district comprises the train depot (Rail Runner service between Santa Fe and Albuquerque), integrated walking paths, breweries/coffee shops/boutiques, and even recognized brands like REI. There is something for everyone to enjoy here.

Santa Fe's leading contemporary art galleries are located seven blocks southwest of the downtown plaza in the historic Railyard District and include Blue Rain Gallery, Charlotte Jackson Fine Art, Evoke Contemporary, form & concept, LewAllen Galleries, Tai Modern, and Zane Bennett Contemporary Art along with the contemporary art museum SITE Santa Fe.

There is free parking available around the corner for ONE car, only a two minute walk to the unit. Parking details will be sent after booking. There is also paid meter parking right in front of the building for loading or unloading.

This unit is on the first floor of a two story building. Our upstairs guests are very courteous, but there is a possibility of noise as they check in/check out.

Please Note: Our Television DOES NOT have regular TV. There is one Smart TV so you can log into any of your favorite streaming services to watch. We also offer free wifi.

QUICK NOTES ON BEHALF OF OUR FANTABULOUS CLEANING TEAM:

We have a very small, but very mighty cleaning team.

As a woman owned business, and a women run business, we will protect our employees and their time.

Our cleaning team DOES NOT USE SCENT FREE DETERGENT. Please take that into consideration when booking.

Our cleaning team will enter at 10:05 AM on day of checkout. Guests will be charged an initial $50 for any late check out after 10 AM and an additional $100 for every half hour our cleaning team must wait.

Guests will also be charged $150 for attempted early check in. We value our employees and the incredible work they do (we know you will too, once your see how sparkling clean and neat our units are.). Please give them their space to do their job. Thanks!

Perfect Santa Fe studio
Located close to all the action but quiet. Spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with nice towels and toiletries. Clear instructions were provided for easy check-in and check-out. A bottle of champagne and sweet and salty snacks were awaited us and were very welcome after a long drive. Highly recommend.

Casa Estaca
Clean, Comfortable and convenient place for walking around Santa Fe, especially the Railyard district. Excellent check-in directions from property owner. The pullout couch was useful to accommodate family members for an overnight stay, but the lack of privacy if 2 couples are sharing this flat may be problematic for some. I would book Casa Estaca again if in the Santa Fe area!

Spotlessly Clean and close to everything
This casita is very spacious, and the furniture, especially the bed, is comfortable. There is a nice area for watching TV and reading a book. The kitchen is very big, with a full-sized refrigerator and oven. (Both spotless.) I don't think I've ever stayed is such a CLEAN home. There is also, a lovely patio with an umbrella table, for morning coffee or evening wine. Be prepared that parking is about a block away. Also, access to the front door would be difficult for anything with wheels. Charlotte was a responsive hostess. We asked for more coffee, and she gave us enough for an army! We had a wonderful time. Ended up walking a lot, since the casita is so close to everything.

Fit our needs perfectly
We (a girlfriend and I) came down to SF for IFAM. It’s always fun to see the different ways VRBOs are set up - I am also a Premier VRBO host. This apartment had everything we needed, and it’s proximity to the Folk Market, as well as the plaza was terrific. The parking was a non- issue. Great stay!

Nice, clean, walkable
It was our first time in Santa Fe and a bit of a surprise trip. We went along with some family who needed some help with a member who was using a walker. No room in their hotel so got this last-minute rental. It was great for our purposes although a little more than we expected for one room.

Cozy & close to so much!
Really enjoyed my stay here! Came here for a long wedding weekend and needed something central and this worked perfectly. The place is tucked away and private, but very spacious and SO CLEAN - easily the cleanest place I’ve stayed in. Parking is offsite, so be aware that there is some walking involved, but it was really easy to pull up and unload the car/drop folks off. The place is set up like a studio - but had a lot of room and was comfortable to have a few friends for pre-ceremony drinks! Also, Charlotte was really responsive and anything I needed was dealt with promptly. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for our Family
Perfect little Vrbo for our family of 4. We loved the location and were able to walk to different dinner spots with our kids on several evenings of our stay. When we first arrived I got concerned it was going to feel too small and cramped because we had a ton of stuff with us for skiing. I was wrong though. After we got settled and organized it felt just perfect for us. I was also initially concerned about the parking not being out front and had prepared my husband in advanced. The walk to the car was very easy though and because we were able to pull the car up to unload/load we had no issue with it. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay here again. The only thing I will note (just so others are aware) is that there is a bit of outside noise from time to time at night. Nothing over the top but noticeable. Mostly it was noise from a nearby dumpster when trash was being taken out and then the dumpster was dumped in the early morning hours one day of our stay. Our kids didn’t wake and were not bothered but if you have light sleepers you may want to bring a sound machine or something to help drown out any outside noise. (This stuff is obviously unavoidable and uncontrollable by the host. So I don’t in anyway count it against them).

We absolutely loved our stay! We were walking distance to my favorite restaurant and minutes away from the Plaza. Such a great central location. My husband and 8 year old son rode bikes to plaza and other surrounding stores/restaurants. The place was perfect with all amenities we needed. Such a sweet gift from Charlotte upon arrival. We enjoyed the champagne as we celebrated my birthday one evening. Definitely be back!

Very nice property, enjoyed the surrounding area; however, the number of stars would have been 5 if the parking had been closer to the property. It was a bit spooky returning late at night/ leaving at 6am without requisite flashlights and paying close attention to my surroundings.

This casita was perfectly located and perfect for our needs. We could walk to restaurants, to the plaza, art galleries, Starbucks, Whole Foods. We even had a restaurant next door, a fine one at that.
