Breakfast was great. The rooms were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. The Inn is a little tired and needs some updating in the rooms but they were clean. The website does advertise a restaurant and music. It has neither.

We stayed in Maya room, a very quaint and lovely room, full of character, cozy. Room service came each day and did a lovely job. Breakfast was a minimal buffet, but the yogurt and fruit/granola option was sufficient. We didn't really interact much with the staff. Not much on the way of amenities, but that didn't matter to us - the location is great and the room was great - that's all that mattered.

When I checked in, the room had not been cleaned. I mean, not at all. Bed unmade, trash cans full, wet towels on bath counter. To their credit, the manager and front desk apologized and said it would be cleaned by themselves if need be before I returned from dinner, and it was. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet was really good each of the four mornings I was there. It’s convenient to the central tourist district. It just seemed a bit tired. And when I went to check out, a sign said the person would be right back. I waited 10 minutes and no one showed. So I think it’s above average all in all but certainly not outstanding

We enjoyed our visit and stay at The Inn at Vanessie and if we are ever in Santa Fe it will be our first choice for accommodations. Staff was excellent, room was very nice and clean. The breakfast offered was very good. We stayed in one of the rooms from the oldest part of the inn and this led to why we gave the Inn 4 stars. Everything is a 5 star at the Inn but the windows in our room need updating badly. No screens, hard to open and close. Two windows were hard to even lock without them falling inwards. The newer sections have metal windows and would hope money is spent on replacing the windows in the old part. There may be limitations if the oldest part is a national landmark or something like that that keeps the owners from updating. This was never mentioned. You will love your stay.
