We loved the privacy that the house offered. Sound of the creek was wonderful.. we wanted a place to enjoy cooking and the wine we recently got from nearby vineyards. The house was close enough to town for winery visits and restaurants.

Quiet, private stay

Overall this was a good option for the budget we were looking to stay in. The place could have been a little cleaner upon arrival (lots of cob webs and a dirty coffee maker.) And it does take a bit to get an uber since it’s in a pretty private neighborhood. but other than that it was a pleasant stay and the property is very charming!

Great house!

We loved the place. The beds were comfy and we had all we needed for a short weekend. I loved the toys and games for kids, the hot tub and the gorgeous location.

Cute, cozy and perfectly located… but many negatives for us as well

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights on our annual girls trip. We chose this home due to its location and it was absolutely beautiful as the ad describes. The creek noise/forest vibes were very relaxing. The house is decorated nicely and well stocked with everything you need to be comfortable. It was away from the city but still close to town. However there were many cons about this house unfortunately—The beds: Both of us felt the mattresses were too firm so we didn’t sleep the greatest.Ants: Understandable that you’re in a forest and this time of year it happens.. however they were crawling all over the counter while trying to cook so that was unpleasant. We decided to BBQ one night and when attempting to turn it on there was barely any propane and it ran out before we could start cooking. We contacted the host and they brought another tank the next day, but that is something that should be stocked if you’re advertising there is a BBQ. Then the propane shut off multiple times while cooking, so our dinner didn’t turn out well and that was frustrating/inconvenient. Also note that the kitchen stove is an induction burner and heats unevenly so cooking what we planned didn’t go well there either. Hot tub: It was placed nicely and the views were great, but take note that it fits 2 at most. We unfortunately couldn’t get comfortable Upkeep: It needs major yard maintenance and clean up. Random mops, brooms, ladders scattered outside. The deck was a mess as well.

The property was cozy and warm nestled in a remote setting yet a short drive to amenities in Calistoga and Santa Rosa. Although there is bathroom attached to the primary suite the overall aesthetic of the property makes up for that minor inconvenience. There is a beautiful steam that run in the back of the property that provides a tranquil sound inside the property even with the windows closed. The property met all expectations formed from reading about it during the booking process. The PM was easily reachable and was responsive to our questions. Would stay here again next time we are visiting.

Absolutely perfect

My boyfriend and I stayed to celebrate my birthday and I couldn’t have been more of a perfect little getaway. I just wish I was able to stay for even longer to be honest. But the place was in a beautiful secluded location. surrounded by trees and a river right below. It was clean and cozy and had all the amenities that I was looking for. Would love to stay again someday and make it more than just a two night stay. The hot tub is in the back and on a deck and it’s so nice and quiet to enjoy surrounded by the beautiful trees. I really love this home. Thank you so much to the host for making this such a beautiful vacation away from home. We highly recommend.

River at your doorstep

Beautiful area, house is in a private neighborhood nestled in the trees and the river is literally out the back door of the house (and can be heard from inside the house!). Ample space to spread out, kitchen well enough stocked, nice fireplace. The hot tub is very small and the house takes a while to heat up but overall very peaceful and quiet. We had a lovely restful time!

Great Location!

The location of the house was perfect for our wine country getaway. The directions were accurate, communication was good, and the check-in and out process was easy. The home was missing an ironing board, the living room chairs were not comfortable and the overall be cleanliness could improve (carpets, bathroom shower, coffee pot). Overall, we were satisfied.

Peaceful quiet getaway

My girlfriend and I had a wonderfully relaxing time. The master BR is like a treehouse with the beautiful windows and you can hear the brook burbling down below. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the daytime and u set the stars. Would definitely come back!

Lovely getaway in the woods

House is cozy and well-appointed. Very spacious for our family of four. Nice amenities - including the hot tub (note it's a small hot tub - 2-3 people). Love the location up in the redwoods with the little creek burbling away. So quiet and serene. And only about 10 minutes to Calistoga. Kitchen is well-stocked. Like that there were games and toys for the kids. Primary bedroom is very spacious and comfy. Kids bedroom was perfect for them. House is bright and airy and clean. The one complaint is that the house wasn't totally finished with cleaning process. There were still towels in the dryer, there were only two pods for the hot tub which we ran out of, no clean sponges, and no pods for the mini-dishwasher. Personally, I recommend just removing the mini-dishwasher as it takes up a lot of counter space. Recommend talking to the cleaning company about making sure items are re-stocked. Thanks!

Beautiful "tree house" getaway

We loved staying at this house. It's very well appointed with everything you need and beautifully decorated. It's up a windy road but worth the drive when you see how beautiful the surroundings are. The wifi in the house is great but make sure and screen shot the check in instructions as the wifi driving up to the house is not reliable. We loved the hot tub, which only fits 3 people, but is perfectly situated to enjoy the redwoods and bubbling creek. Very peaceful weekend and close enough to Calistoga to go for meals. The hostess was very accessible and easy to work with. Overall 5 out of 5! We'll definitely be back.

Lovely home in the woods

We had a 3 generation ladies weekend and the house was perfect for what we wanted… a remote feeling home away from the hustle and bustle that was still close enough to enjoy Calistoga and Santa Rosa. The property is nestled into the woods on a hill with a creek below and is accessed via a single lane, winding road. This access seems a little intimidating the first time, but quickly becomes comfortable to navigate. Verizon apparently is the cell service to have, unfortunately we have AT&T and didn’t have coverage to access the VRBO App, which contained the code to get both the key and access to Wi-Fi, so I recommend screen-shotting that info before you head up there. Luckily neighbor was kind enough to contact the owner to help gain access, all worked out well. Property was lovely inside…clean and well stocked with supplies and food basics, which was really nice. Outside could have used a leaf blower to remove falling leaves, but the setting allows you to overlook that for the most part. We felt like we were sitting in a tree house. You literally feel like you’re sitting up in the trees with the squirrels and the birds and the babbling brook below really added a calming element as well. The hot tub is small (2-3 person) and a little older, but clean and hot and wonderfully positioned to take it the surrounding nature. The owner was very good at communicating and was super responsive. We loved the property and would highly recommend it for this seeking a little get away.
