Santa Teresa looks to be growing quickly. What was once a sleepy beach village is being found by more people. My guess is it will become more popular as the roads to it and along its beaches improve.

I loved the beaches and the hospitality of every single person at the hotel and the places where we went for food. However, the road could be improved and sidewalks would make walking around the town way safer.

Santa Teresa is off the beaten path. I hope it stays this way and does not lose its charm. Over development will take away its character. Plan on renting an ATV while you are there to get around.

The area is underdeveloped for tourism standards. Mostly the roads though. The beaches are gorgeous and the businesses work hard to please their customers and are really Pura vida.

Santa Teresa is a charming surprise in the middle of nowhere. The food is uncharacteristically worldly. But make no mistake, it is rustic and dirty since the main road is unpaved - when dry, it kicks up volumes of dirt and dust, when wet,

Cobano is a nice place and has some awesome beaches near by. If you are in to learning new things there are surfing lessons you can book. A good beginner's beach is "Playa Hermosa". Great food at "The Bakery" in Santa Teresa!
