A luxury spa resort on the edge of the town of Oia. This certainly ticked a lot of boxes.
The staff at the restaurant and the bar by the pool were all so warm and polite, they did make you feel very welcomed.
The room was large and spacious and full of amenities, and mine came with a private outdoor jacuzzi.
I also tried the spa package while I was here and it was thoroughly enjoyable and most relaxing.
Breakfast was buffet. The range of options was excellent, with selections of hot food, cold cuts, cereals, fruits, baked goods, yoghurts.
Now the not so good part. As mentioned, it is on the fringes of Oia, and slightly downhill from it, so it’s a 10min uphill walk each time you want to get into town.
Most of my stay had been perfect, except for right at the start. I arrived early at the hotel, at 11am, and I was happy to just store my luggage and for me to come back later for the room. I came back 3 hours later and was told off for expecting a room before 3pm. An apology would be more in keeping with a luxury resort meant to make you feel special. Others who arrived later had a room before 3pm, was I less important? As I stated, the rest of the stay was actually very good, but having a sour note right at the start really spoilt the experience
