Savoca, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, whose name is derived from the plant of the elder (savucu in Sicilian dialect), a shrub that still grows wild in the cracks between houses and which is represented in the medieval coat of arms of the village.

This small town set in the rock of a hill of dual tip, experienced the interest of kings, popes and Archimandrite prelates, in a succession of periods of serious crisis and prosperity. The basalt blocks lying on roads leading between separate small houses, freshly restored with Sicilian tiles on the roofs and windows framed in stone, then following streets in the rock here you’ll find extremely fragmented ruins and old cisterns.

"The property and the location were perfect for our honeymoon. We wanted somewhere private, with our own pool and garden but close enough to the beach and other places to go sightseeing if we wanted. This property was exactly what we wanted and exactly what was promised. Natalino was a brilliant host who was always a WhatsApp away if we needed anything. We loved our stay and will miss Sicily and this house but hopefully we will get to stay here again one day!"

"Getting around by car in Taormina is very difficult, but once we'd settled in, this apartment was magnificent. The host was thorough in introducing us to the home and responsive to inquiries. "This is a lovely villa on a hill overlooking Taormina and the Mediterranean. The views are spectacular.The villa was comfortable, clean, and very quiet. The only drawback is that because it is on a hill, there a quite a few steps to navigate to get to and from the center of Taormina. Older folks should keep that in mind. "Excellent place to stay in Taormina.. it was very modern like Miami Vice. It was across the street about 100ft away from the main building. I only wished we would have stayed in the old hotel which looked much cooler.. we parked up the street for €25 a day saved us €20 a day.. don’t forget to stop at the coop, which is the grocery store. Will also save you a ton of money.. next door is a laundromat, which was perfect. Just watch out and ask for the price first before doing your laundry.. The balcony was also really nice"
