Classic Seaside motel I went to when I was a kid and now I brought my family back to it 40 years later. The place hasn’t changed a bit. Most importantly the rooms were clean. Kids loved the pool. It did have a lot of cigarette butts all around the hallways. We had to get two rooms having five kids. My wife’s room door wouldn’t open when they were inside the room so they had to climb out the window. Definitely a fire hazard. I was surprised they didn’t offer something to us for the inconvenience. The Bloody Mary and mimosas were small at the bar. And the breakfast was very overpriced for the quality of the food. Still enjoyed my stay there. It was very nostalgic and would probably still go back despite it all.

This motel is reminiscent of the quaint older motels of the 50’s, 60’s era. Our room had a mini fridge, newer beds and bedding and was very comfortable. There was a large vanity and a closet bar with hangers also had shelf above. There was a newer dresser and floating night stand. Bathroom had tub shower combo and was older but clean. Room was carpeted which I don’t love but it was clean. The owner greeted me upon arrival and was very nice! They have actual keys for the rooms which were a little tricky. There was a nice pool, a restaurant that served breakfast and lunch and had happy hours from 4-7 with appetizers. Also, provided beach badges to get on the beach. Overall, a nice motel.

Window darkening drapes from the 1970’s, rod hooks were broken so the drapes didn’t close all the way. Box air conditioner light “replace filter” was on…wondering for how long? Threadbare towels, “body cleansing bar” the size of a half dollar. Bedspreads from the Brady boys’ bedrooms, yikes. The tackiness and run down appearance of this hotel has gone from slightly endearing to likely my last time staying there. They pride themselves on the pool (overcrowded and loud), happy hour and the restaurant. No free coffee. Guy who checks in guests thinks he is funny but he isn’t. Too much money for ick.
