10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful home on Seneca Lake. The bedrooms were large, clean, and had enough room for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a closet full of toys and games that the kids loved! Outside, there wasn't a beach, but the ladders on the dock made it easy to access the water to use the kayaks. Water shoes and life jackets were also provided. I wish the water had been warm enough to swim in! We will have to plan to come later in the Summer next time."

"The home was as advertised. It was our first time in the area. It is in a rural area which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the quiet evenings on the porch and stunning sunset. We were visiting friends in the area so we didn't spend alot of time at the home, It seemed to be centrally located to many wineries."

Winey Duck Cottage:" Pet Friendly Contemporary w/Hot Tub on Seneca Wine Trail

"Winey Duck Cottage was the perfect accommodation for our "Girls Trip" of eight to the Finger Lakes. We were close to wineries, hiking, Corning Museum of Glass, small town shopping, and delicious ice cream! In addition, we loved sitting on the deck every morning and evening enjoying the beautiful lake view. The hot tub and kayaks were also used and enjoyed by the younger members of our group. Finally, our host was very attentive and communication was quick and responsive. We would highly recommend staying at the Winey Duck Cottage!"

"A perfect getaway for the week! The home was more than spacious enough for 6 adults and 4 kids and the pool area was a hit with everyone. Jill was very communicative and answered all my questions promptly. The lake is right across the street from the house and was easy to walk to when we wanted to sit on the dock. The house had everything we needed (including a high chair and well stocked kitchen)! If we ever venture back to the area we'll be sure to check if the house is available again."

"If you’re looking for a lake cottage, this is everything you’d want. It has rustic charm with some high end finishes. It’s well stocked with everything one might need for any length of stay. Fresh cut flowers to welcome you. A cool train travels right through the property but isn’t at all invasive. It came almost every morning around 8 with no train on two mornings and two trains two mornings. We stayed Saturday to Saturday. We had an unexpected hiccup caused by unprecedented environmental issues and the owner couldn’t have handled it better. He is the definition of recovering gracefully. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we’d have no reservations about staying at The Green Duck. Run don’t walk to rent The Green Duck!"

"We had a very rainy weekend yet being right on the water made it relaxing. The place is old school but well kept and that sunroom is absolutely amazing. The bed and couches were very comfortable. Great stay."

"It was such a wonderful stay! The cottage is absolutely beautiful, and the lake views were truly unforgettable—we especially loved how peaceful and relaxing everything felt. It was the perfect getaway. We would happily stay here again and will definitely recommend it to others."

Bear creek cabin, peaceful escape

"The property was beautiful, the cabin was perfect for our larger group. We had plenty of space so when it rained all day Saturday we were not on top of eachother. We love the decor/rustic feeling. The back porch was beyond perfect and relaxing. The availability of bikes turned out to be perfect for the older kids who decided not to bring theirs from home. The cabin is secluded and far out enough that you truly feel like your alone on the woods and that to us was very welcomed. We did have one bigger issue throughout the trip/one small issue at check out -1. Believe we ran out of propane the last full day. The refrigerator stopped working as well as the hot water which are both ran on propane. I contacted the host but she was out of state and unable to send help. So we had to go get ice and put everything in a cooler, and the muddy children had to be wiped down with cold water and no one was able to shower for the last 18 plus hours of our trip. 2.like others have said, there are no mattress cover/protectors so the mattress in the master bedroom does have several larger old dried blood stains on it that were discovered when we stripped the beds at checkout. Other than that, the cabin was incredible and we will definitely come back!"
