One of the tallest skyscrapers in South Korea provides stunning views of the city, while futuristic malls allow visitors to shop like K-pop celebrities.

Visit Songpa, a modern and affluent part of Seoul, where many K-pop stars and actors reside. Immense shopping malls, entertainment venues, sport stadiums and art galleries are among the highlights of this upscale zone. Glimpse some of South Korea’s rich and famous residents while browsing their go-to shopping centers and museums.

Rising high above the cityscape is one of the country’s tallest buildings, the Lotte World Tower, which reaches a height of 1,821 feet (555 meters). Admire the glassy exterior of this enormous 123-floor building. Ride the elevator to the Sky Friends Café near the top and enjoy spectacular city views from the Sky Terrace.

While here, explore the Lotte World Mall, which stretches several floors underground in the tower and continues into its namesake building and the Avenue L building. Bring the little ones to see aquatic creatures in the Lotte World Aquarium. You may also enjoy browsing through the stores of the Garden 5 Shopping Mall, which has a cinema and art gallery.

For something different, visit the Garak Market and choose from the great array of fish. King crab is among the favorites. Find out about the local art scene at the Soma Museum of Art and watch a dramatic performance at the Woori Art Hall.

Watch a game at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium, which was Korea’s first baseball arena. Head to Olympic Park to appreciate the legacy left by the 1988 Summer Olympics. See the impressive Olympic Park Stadium and learn about the country’s sports traditions in the Seoul Olympic Museum.

The district is on the southern side of the Han River, a little east of the center of Seoul. It stands between the zones of Gangnam-gu and Gangdong-gu. Travel around the area via bus or the city’s intricate subway system. While you’re here, consider taking a daytrip to Bukhansan National Park or Incheon and its surrounding islands.

Room a little on the small size, view of the park from window was nice. Otherwise good stay overall. Personal touches allowed us to store our luggage temporarily since we had a late flight.
